Chapter 26 - Past

I can not believe what I just heard.

Khun Caleb...did that?

"I'm sorry. I don't quite understand. Did you just said that Khun Caleb...abducted and let his men rape you?" I repeated out of shock.

"Yes. It was back on our university days.  Caleb went here on Thailand as an exchange student on our university. Back then he didn't know that there are Israel and Vegas. Caleb thought there was only, Vegas."

I still don't quite understand what was Khun Hase was talking about so I kept silent and just listened intently to what he's about to say.

"You see. Caleb is obsessed. With Vegas."

"What?" I blurted in disbelief.

Khun Hase just nodded his head as if he knows what I'm thinking.

"He thought that I was dating Vegas. Israel and Vegas doesn't really stay together at school. Also, they love to come at school with the same clothes and bag---the same looks. In simple words, they just look so identical. They even talk the same way. The both of them loves it when people are confused. Israel was like how Vegas is today. Noisy and aggressive. But after what happened, he became quiet." Khun Hase said fondling his fingers.

"I have long known that Caleb likes Vegas. But I didn't know that he doesn't know Vegas had a twin. You see, Caleb was a complete snobber back then. I don't even remember seeing him with any friend. He would just sit by himself. I didn't pay too much attention to him because I wasn't that close with Vegas too. Israel and I was keeping our relationship as a secret because Israel just entered the mafia world back then. He can not afford, weakness. But then he said he can not afford losing me too. I'm not ignorant when it comes to the mafia world because their father is a friend of my father."

"One day, my butler notified me that someone is trying to access my personal information. I asked my butler who it was and he said it is someone named Caleb Alonso. And I knew already that it was him. So I told my butler to just let him be. I thought I'll just say hi to him on the university when I saw him."

"We became friends actually. But we never talked about Israel and Vegas. Although, sometimes he would see me with Israel. I've called Israel, Liebe my whole university life and I never really thought that Caleb still doesn't know that Vegas has a twin. On our 2nd anniversary, Israel proposed to me at the back of our school. It was just us and a few friends. Some are the heirs on this building. And there was Caleb too. He was smiling and he even congratulated us. That day was perfect not until after twilight." 

I saw Khun Hase's hand started trembling his eyes getting a little wet but he's still maintaining his posture. 

"Caleb called me, saying he badly needs help. I didn't think twice of it nor did I suspected him. We were friends." Khun Hase said his voice slightly quivered.

"When I arrived on the location he sent me, a group of bodyguards jumped into me and then I realized I was in danger. I fought, I used to do martial arts, but then there were so many and I was shot on the legs." Khun Hase said and lifted his trousers. 

On his right shin is a gunshot scar. Damn.

"T-they injected me with an aphrosidiac...and then I woke up feeling sore eveywhere. And there were men sleeping beside me." Khun Hase started to tear up. His ears are red so as his neck.

The Hase in front of me is different from the Hase that I've encountered so far. He's not the Hase whom everyone is scared of.

This Hase is very fragile.
