"Can you believe that dhokebaaz Haya took a half-day and didn't tell...." Aditya trailed off, his eyes wandering towards the couch.
(Traitor)The office's door closed on its own as he stepped inside, clearing his throat multiple times, "So...I was saying..." He continued, trying his best to ignore the glares he was receiving from both sides, "Why is she here?" He asked, turning to his brother in question.
"She slipped." Raghav answered, not bothering to look at him, "Why are you here?"
"She slipped?" Adi asked, walking towards Haya as his eyes fell on her feet on the table, the icepack on one of her feet, "Are you okay?" He asked, sitting beside her.
"Much better." She nodded before leaning towards him, "Kya bol raha tha? Dhokebaaz. Last week merko ditch karke Naina ke saath kon gaya tha? Tu. Parso mera lunch Naina ko kisne khilaya? Tune. Kal-"
(What were you saying? Traitor. Last week, who went out with Naina after ditching me? You. Who fed my lunch to Naina the day before yesterday? You. Yesterday-)"Acha theek hai na." He kept his hand over her mouth.
(Okay fine.)"Take her with you." Raghav inserted himself into their conversation.
"I came here to ask for your car keys." He frowned.
"Where are you going now?" Both Raghav and Haya asked at the same time, making Haya turn to him, "Stop copying me."
"Ma wants to go shopping." He sighed, "Her friend keeps telling her about how her son always takes her shopping, she emotionally blackmailed me." He added. Haya laughed at hearing that, making him glare at her.
"I'm not laughing." She shook her head, still smiling, "Get me a new top! You still haven't compensated for the one you ruined."
"Yeah, I'm not going to shop for a woman with Ma, she'll make up thousand different theories in her head." Aditya rolled his eyes, "I want your car." He turned to his brother.
"Take yours."
"I came to the office with you, remember?"
Sighing, Raghav took out his car keys from his pocket, "One dent and you're dead." He warned, keeping the keys on the table.
"Bye, bye."
Haya also got up, leaving the icepack on the table she picked up her purse that Paridhi brought earlier and looked for her heels, "Where are you going?" Raghav asked, finally tearing his gaze away from the laptop that seemed too interesting the whole time Aditya was there.
"Home?"
"You can't walk." He replied.
"Yes, I can." She looked at him before showing him that she can walk, "I can be a ballerina too." She added, attempting to do ballet.
He closed his laptop shut, "Have lunch before leaving."
"It's been an hour since you asked me for lunch, I'm not hungry anymore." She replied, picking up her heels, "I'll give you one star for your poor service." She added, walking out of the office.
"Wait." He called after her, getting up from his chair as he chased her. 'Why is she walking so fast?' he asked himself as he saw her getting into the elevator already.
