She looked at herself in the mirror.

Perfect, her subconscious screamed. She wore a yellow pleated V-neck grunge coord set, the oversized piece of cloth giving her the comfort she needed at the time of the night.

The night was getting darker, making her anticipate a hundred different things in her mind, her stomach growling with hunger, she usually had her dinner by 9, but now nearly 10 in the night, she was hungry.

"Stupid Raghav." She murmured to herself, walking to the kitchen to find something to snack on when the bell rang.

Ignoring the bell, she took out a jar of Nutella along with a spoon as she took a seat on the stool, scooping out the chocolate from the jar, she licked it off the spoon as the bell rang again.

Ten minutes later, she stood up, keeping everything back in its place before opening the door.

There he stood, leaning on the wall as he turned the leaves of the single flower in his hand outwards, he looked up, hearing the commotion.

"Hi." He smiled, his eyes crinkling from the corner as he forwarded the rose, "I plucked it from Ma's garden." He told her.

"You made me wait for an hour." She crossed her arms.

"I'm sorry?" He held his ear, "I was stuck in traffic, and my phone didn't have any network, I'll spend an hour extra with you." He tried to bargain.

"That doesn't sound like compensation." She leaned on the doorframe, "How about you leave an hour earlier?" She asked.

"How about we stay at your apartment?" He asked.

"Don't get ahead of yourself." She pushed him, keeping a hand over his chest. He stepped closer, keeping his hand over hers.

"What? I meant talking, what did you assume? You dirty minded-"

"Shut up, how do you know I was thinking of something dirty? You are dirty-minded." She cut him off, turning the lights off and grabbing the keys as she locked the door.

"Sure."

She gave him an annoyed look, "I hope we're not going to that fancy schmancy restaurant again, I'm hungry." She said, handing the keys to him, "I don't have pockets, keep this with you."

"Okay."

"You didn't tell anyone you're here, right?" She asked as they walked towards the staircase.

"How do you know?" He asked, faking a shocked expression.

"Aap jyada nautanki mat kara karein." She scrunched her nose, looking at him with narrowed eyes.
(Stop being dramatic)

"Aur aap jyada tension na liya karein." He replied.
(And you should stop worrying too much)

"I have to, aapka bass chale to loudspeaker le kar sabko bata do, nahi?" She smiled sarcastically.
(I have to, if it was up to you, you would've announced it to everyone with a loudspeaker)

"Of Course, I would." He frowned, "Stop putting accusations on me as if you don't want to." He argued.

"I don't. Not yet, You're just a guy I'm dating, this…whatever this is isn't even something promising yet, why would I tell anyone until I'm sure?" She asked.

"What do you mean 'whatever this is'? Are you not my girlfriend?" He asked.

"Oh hello? Kab pucha aapne mujhse? Ainweyi girlfriend? Kuch bhi matlab?" She turned to him.
(Oh hello? When did you ask me? Girlfriend? Anything huh?)
