The new kitten was named Snowball after arguing for another ten minutes when they got to know that no other cats could be found around the building.

"Why is he not coming to me?" Haya whined when Snowball clutched harder onto Raghav's arm as she tried to take him, "I want to pet him too."

She made space for herself, moving his other arm so she could sit in his lap. Making herself comfortable, she kept his arm in her lap, bringing Snowball close to her, booping his nose and cheeks every once in a while.

Samar looked at them, an array of emotions passing through his eyes before he looked away.

"So…um, where do you wanna discuss everything?" He asked Raghav.

"Let's go to the Study?" He asked before turning to Haya, "Excuse us for a while?" He whispered.

"Umhmm." She nodded, finally shifting Snowball in her hands when he fell asleep as she got off his lap.

Raghav and Samar disappeared off to the room in the corner of the apartment, she clicked almost fifty pictures before selecting and sending a few to the group chat that the three of them, Naina, Adi, and Haya had.

Minutes passed but the kitten seemed to be in a deep sleep, getting up, she walked into Raghav's room, threw a cushion on the floor as she made him lay down on it, and walked into the closet, changing her clothes.

Writing a note for Raghav, she left it on the table and started to walk out of the apartment when the door to the study opened.

"Haya?" Raghav frowned, making her pause in her movements as she turned around, "Where are you going?" He asked, walking over to her.

"I thought you would take time, I just wanted to see my apartment-"

"No."

"No? What do you mean no? You can't just-"

Samar rubbed his forehead, "Before you both start, he probably means no for your safety, It's not even a day, your apartment is cleaned up if you were worried about that-"

"Wait a minute, you told him too?" Haya looked at Raghav accusingly, "Why would you even do that? I don't even know the man and-"

"Can you ask her to stop yelling?" Samar asked Raghav, mumbling so she couldn't hear him.

"Excuse me?" She looked at Samar, her voice getting louder than before.

"He owns a security company." Raghav told her before they started an argument, "We were talking about you."

"How will a security guard help me? Our building has a lot of security guards but did it stop them?" She asked, her nose scrunching up.

"Not that kind of security, muffin," Samar replied, resisting an urge to roll his eyes, he thought he was habitual to people assuming he provided security guards.

"Then…then what?" She asked, looking between him and Raghav.

"I told you to talk in front of her, now I'll have to have the same conversation again." Samar frowned, taking a seat on the sofa, "I need something in my stomach before doing this again." He added, picking up an apple from the fruit basket on the table.
