She folded her clothes, keeping them in her bag one by one when Raghav entered the closet.
"Haya?" He immediately held her hands, threw the t-shirt in her hands away, and turned her around to face him, "What are you doing? I'm sorry, I really am, why are you-"
"Are you? Really?" She freed her hands, folding them.
"I...uh...I know I shouldn't have-"
"Of course, you shouldn't have! The first words out of your mouth were 'I'll buy you a new one' instead of 'I'm sorry,' Raghav, and let it be, I'm going back home-"
"It's...it's not done yet." He interrupted.
A scoff left her mouth as she turned away, picking up her t-shirt and throwing it in her bag.
"Haya..."
"How long?"
"What?"
"How long are you going to hide it from me?" She asked, throwing the envelope that had two pairs of keys inside, "It had my address on it, so before you lie, don't."
"Let me explain-"
"Okay. Start. You have two minutes." She crossed her arms, turning back to him.
He sighed, "I just got it a day before yesterday, I was going to tell you, okay? I just...I'm selfish, I wanted to keep you with me as long as I could."
"And how long do you think you would have?" She asked.
"Forever if I could."
A tired sigh left her mouth as she pushed the bag, making space on the couch before holding Raghav's hand and making him sit.
She kept her hands on his shoulders, "What are we? Where do we stand in this...relationship?" She asked.
"Call it what you want to. You're my everything." He replied.
"Okay...listen to me, let's take this slow okay? We're still in the very early stages of this relationship and we need to work out a lot of things, things we don't even know, Maybe we will live together in the future but right now? I think it's too soon and I want you to understand why I'm saying this." She looked at him with a nod, "I don't want it to end before it even starts."
He looked at the ground, brows furrowed as he processed her words, trying his best to agree with her.
A part of him kind of agreed with her but the majority of his feelings argued why she was wrong, Maybe it was his selfishness, but the need to keep her with him was strong.
"Okay." He nodded, "Anything you say."
"Good, now get out of here and let me pack." She said, giving him a little push as she walked to the other side when he held her wrist, bringing her back where she was standing.
"Do you forgive me?" He asked.
"No, cook me a good dinner first." She shook her head.
"I was wondering..."
"Hmm? Go on."
"Do you maybe...need a cook? Super ador- affordable, won't ask for any salary, will be available 24*7?" He suggested.
"Shut up and go cook." She rolled her eyes, freeing her hand.
He scratched his head, got up, and walked out of the closet. He picked up Snowball who was trying to hop around the room, settling him on his shoulder as he walked to the kitchen.
"She's a little stupid, isn't she?" He asked the cat, patting his little head.
The cat just held onto his t-shirt tightly while he moved around the kitchen, cooking their dinner. All the time, he was waiting for her to come out but she didn't.
