Fighting the beasts!

The next day I walked into the arena happily beside Astrid
"Welcome to dragon training!"
Gobber exclaimed
"No turning back." Astrid huffed
I looked around the arena as she held her axe
"Being a year older. Don't worry. Dragon fighting is easy if you avoid the dragon's fire." I stated
"Duh. Obviously." Snotlout stated
"Could you do it?" I asked
"I want some serious burns!" Tuffnut said
"Yeah it'll be fun to get a scar out of the battle." Astrid stated
"Maybe on the back." Ruffnut said
"Yes. Pain. Love it." Hiccup sighed
"Who let him in?" Ruffnut asked.
"Anyone who fights the best! Will win a privilege to kill their first dragon in front of everyone!" Gobber stated
"Hiccup killed a flight fury. Is that cheating?" Snotlout asked
"Your getting on my nerves. If I kill snotlout does that count?" I asked
Snotlout went silent and so did ruff as Astrid nudged me
"Good job." She whispered.
"Don't worry. You're small, weak. That makes you less of a target!" gobber reassured
"Behind these doors! Are just a few of the many species you will learn to fight!"
Gobber said
Snotlout was pumped but Fishlegs was a little anxious about it all.

"First up! The deadly nadder!" Gobber said
He went through the dragons as Fishlegs recited skills and speed they had
"The gronckle." Gobber said
Snotlout protested but the gronckle was let out and everyone ran as it flew after them and the gronckle hit a wall and roared
"If you're blasted! You're dead!" Gobber stated
"That's obvious!" Snotlout said
"Get a shield!" Astrid shouted
I already had one due to being a little more special than others with my wooden leg but everyone grabbed a shield.
"Ruff! Tuff!" I shouted
The gronckle blasted them but they were still alive as I huffed in disappointment
"Tuffnut! Ruffnut! You're out!" Gobber said
Everyone made noise using their shields and the gronckle seemed to be disoriented by all the noise so I did so too
"How many shots does a gronckle have?" Gobber asked
"Fishlegs!" I exclaimed
"It's 6 not 5!" Fishlegs said
"That's right! 6!" Gobber exclaimed
The gronckle blasted and Fishlegs shield was knocked out of his hand and he ran as gobber said he was out
"Hiccup! Hurry!" I shouted
He was in a corner as the gronckle blasted him.

"You should come by some time to work out Astrid. I think you work out." Snotlout said
He was blasted and was eliminated from the ring as me, Astrid and hiccup were still there
"Hiccup!" Gobber shouted
"Get out of there!" I added
The gronckle got ready to blast but gobber put his hook in its mouth and dragged it away as hiccup covered his head
"Go back to bed you overgrown lizard!" Gobber said.
"You'll get another chance." Gobber said
I was beside Tuffnut as I held the shield and ruffnut shamed him for being the first one out
"A dragon will always, always, go for the kill!" Gobber stated
He pushed hiccup up as he walked around and grabbed the shield and Astrid punched me in the stomach as a way of saying good job
"Being his sibling is not so easy, eh?"
Astrid asked
"I guess. Over thinker. Persistent. Hesitant. I mean it's good at the right times but fighting a dragon it really isn't." I stated happily
Snotlout walked out of the arena and so did we all as hiccup went towards the forest and I followed behind catching up to him quickly because he was walking a little slower than he usually does.

(Time skip)
Hiccup picked up a piece of the net
"Where are we going?" I asked
"To find those dragons." Hiccup stated
We walked into a lush crater in the earth as we looked around and there were tree roots everywhere and lots of sunshine, there was even a little pond in the middle of the crater.
"Watch it!" I whisper shouted
Hiccup picked up a black scale and the night fury from earlier flew up and tried to get out but failed miserably and almost fell into the pond.
"Where's the stormcutter?" I asked
The night fury attempted to get out but couldn't again so it laid there
"Hiccup did you really bring a notebook?"
I asked
"Yup." Hiccup said
He got out a pencil and started to draw and write things about the dragon as it fell to the ground again
"Why doesn't it just fly away?" Hiccup asked
It shot a plasma blast at a tree in frustration
"It's missing a tail fin!" He exclaimed
"That's why it can't fly!" I stated
The night fury laid down in defeat but got back up and tried to catch a fish failing again.

Hiccup stumbled as the night fury reacted and heard the movement looking up
"Hiccup, we've got a problem." I whispered
Just then a stormcutter appeared but it was flying weirdly too and it growled while looking at the ledge we were on so hiccup ducked and I did so too
"It sees us!" I stated
Hiccup looked at it and the two dragon's looked at hiccup as I stared as the stormcutter
"So you document the night fury but not the other? It's rare too!" I said.
"But it's- it's- big, intimidating, smart, powerful too and frankly it's just hard to draw in general!" Hiccup exclaimed
Both dragons hissed so we got out of the crater's ledge as soon as possible and ran back to berk in hopes that the dragons wouldn't kill us by the time we got there
"That stormcutter! It's right upper tail fin was cut off from the net! It can't fly either!"
I exclaimed
"If those dragons don't kill us than berk will!" Hiccup stated
"What do you mean us? You almost got killed by a gronckle!" I said
"Cheering myself up here!" Hiccup stated
We took a long break for breath and berk was in our sights after.
