Befriending dragons!

They aren't so scary!

{ Y/N's point of view }

Hiccup held out his hand with the fish as the night fury approached and opened his mouth
"Toothless, huh? I swear you had-"
hiccup was cut off
The night fury had forced his teeth out and not down on the fish as the night fury ate it
"Teeth.." he finished
The stormcutter looked over and sniffed the fish before crouching down as I held my hand out and the dragon ate it before jumping back and growling again as hiccup was pinned up against a rock by the night fury.
"Hiccup. Stay calm. Sudden big movements are not always a good idea." I stated
"I don't have anymore!" Hiccup exclaimed
The night fury regurgitated the fish and put it on hiccups lap in a sign of gratitude
"I would've died right there. Fish smells horrible." I stated.
"Oh shut it Y/N! Ew." Hiccup said
The night fury stood back and seemed to have sat down as the stormcutter scuttled over and watched hiccup and I got to hiccup's side
"This is awkward." I stated
The night fury stared and looked hiccup up and down as he sighed and took a bite
"Give me some! I've always wanted to try!"
I exclaimed urgently.

"You want to try this?!"
Hiccup hummed with his mouth closed
I grabbed the fish and ate a piece and to no one's surprise it was disgusting and the night fury urged for both of us to swallow so I did and hiccup did right after and I shuddered as hiccup retched before I smiled and the stormcutter grunted and widened its mouth like a smile while looking at toothless and toothless tried to smile in awe as hiccup got up and stuck his hand out which made the night fury growl and try to fly out of the crater which made the stormcutter try too but both dragons fell on the grass.
"Too soon." I stated
Hiccup got up as the night fury lit the ground up and laid down as the stormcutter blasted a branch with a low fire beam and hung from it as a bird chirped and flew away
"That night fury is quite the character."
I whispered
"Couldn't agree more." Hiccup whispered back
The night fury growled while looking at hiccup sit down before turning a different way and using his tail fin to cover his eyes.

Hiccup scooted closer as the stormcutter came down from the tree and looked at toothless before sitting down and it's long tail stretched towards me and hiccup tried to touch the tail but the night fury looked over and walked away followed by the stormcutter as I chased after hiccup
(Time skip)
We had stayed there until the sun set and the night fury was hanging from a branch and on a higher one was the stormcutter. Hiccup drew the night fury in the sand and the night fury seemed intrigued as he came over and I watched as the night fury followed his hand movements before standing up weirdly an walking over before grabbing a branch
"What is it doing?" I asked
"Hard to tell." Hiccup stated.
The stormcutter looked on as hiccup and I watched the night fury move around before looking back at hiccup and looking at the line he had made and continued to draw a line in the sand and went hiccup got up he looked at the night fury's squiggles in the dirt as the stormcutter sat outside of the lines and I was in one of those squiggly circles.

Hiccup walked around and stepped on a line making the night fury growl and snarl but when hiccup took a foot off the line the night fury purred and when he did it again it changed to snarling so hiccup did it again
"Don't test it!" I stated
Hiccup laughed as the stormcutter watched on and hiccup didn't step on the lines and walked through it carefully as I just stepped over the end of it
"Who knew hiccup was such a dancer."
I teased
"Shut up." Hiccup said.
The stormcutter was 2 inches away from me watching and when hiccup got out and the night fury then exhaled above him and looked as hiccup held his hand out as the night fury pressed his snout against hiccup's hand before hissing again and walking away as hiccup stood there in shock. I smiled before the stormcutter rested his chin on my head as I laughed before it ran away to get some fish
"Brother. I believe we've just befriended some of berk's nightmares." I stated
Hiccup laughed as we exited the crater and we were going to go back to berk so we trekked through the bushes and trees before a fire was in our sights.

"He took my hand and ripped it off! Oh you should've seen the look on his face... I was absolutely delicious to him! And he probably spread the word because not even a month passed and another took my leg!"
Gobber explained
"Is it not weird to know your hand was inside a dragon?" Fishlegs asked
"And if your mind was in control of it! You might have killed the dragon on the inside by crushing its heart!" Fishlegs added
Astrid was disgusted as I laughed a little and hiccup stayed quiet
"I swear. I'm so angry. I'll avenge your beautiful hand and your perfect foot." Snotlout said gritting his teeth
"I'll chop off the legs of every dragon I fight using my face!" Snotlout swore
"It's the wings and tails you want."
Gobber said
"If it can't fly. It can't get away. A downed dragon is a dead dragon." Gobber added
I looked at hiccup in worry as he stared a little up and Tuffnut was in awe as gobber yawned
"I'm off to bed. You should get some sleep too. Tomorrow we get to the big boys, slowly but surely making our way up to the Monstrus nightmare. But who might have the honor of killing the dragon?" Gobber questioned.
