Y/n swam down towards the bottom, holding the air in her lungs. She could see the red glow of the gate, and her eyes widened slightly. It wasn't as big as the past two gates, but it was big. Swimming down farther, she made it to the opening. Without any hesitation she pulled herself through and climbed out on the other side.

She quickly scrambled to her feet, when she saw Steve being attacked by these weird looking creatures. Quickly she ran over to him, and swung the oar at one of the creatures sending it flying. Suddenly Nancy came out of nowhere, hitting the next one.

"Hey, there." She said.

Robin ran over, and stepped on the one that had its tail around Steve's neck. Y/n brought the oar down right on its tail, causing it to screech and let go of her brother.

"Shit!" Eddie shouted looking in a specific direction, more had appeared.

"Shit!" Y/n exclaimed as one flew right at her, using the oar she managed to hit it like it were a baseball.

But as soon as she did that, another one came right at her. It wrapped it's tail around her neck, causing her to stumble back to the ground. Y/n could feel her air way being blocked by the amouny of pressure, as the tail tightened. She clawed at the tail with her nails, struggling to het her fingers around to pull it away.

Another one came at her, landing at her side and started biting her. Conflicted Y/n used one hand to try and get the tail off her neck, and using the othet one to attempt to swat the beast away.

"Let go of her!" Eddie shouted as he grabbed the creature bitting and and throwing, he then swung the oar at the one around her neck "You son of a bitch!"

The creature's grip on Y/n's neck loosened, and she finally managed to pull the tail away. She grabbed oar that laid nearby, and hit it at an awkward angle. She did it once more, which seemed to kill the thing based off the scream it let out. Eddie quickly rushed to her, placing his hand on her stomach where she was bot. Blood soaking his hand, but not too badly.

Thats when the remaining bats began to flee.

Y/n sat on the ground, soaking wet and breathing heavily. She and the others watched as Steve manhandled the creature, he slammed it to the ground which seemed to paralyze it. He then proceeded to step near its head, and rip the thing in half.

"Well, we're all alive." Y/n breathed rubbing her throat, "Who knew creatures from the upside down had a choking kink." She grumbled pushing herself up with the help of Eddie "You okay Steve?" She asked as Nancy and Robin rushed over to him.

Steve nodded as blood dripped from his mouth "Yeah.....just-just great." He groaned.

"Jesus H. Christ!" Eddie shouted as he aggressively threw the oar down, he looked to Y/n worried "Are you alright?" He asked gently.

Y/n nodded with a smile "Yeah, nothing I can't handle." She laughed slightly.

Eddie gently placed a hand on her throat, gently rubbing the mark "Jesus." He whispered.

"I'm okay, I promise." Y/n said with a small smile.

"Are you okay?" Nancy asked making him turn towards her.

"Well, they took about a pound of flesh." Steve said looking down at where the creatures bit him, "But other than that, yeah, never better." He said.

"Uh, do you guys think these bats have, like, rabies?" Robin asked as she crouched down next to one of the dead ones, inspecting it.

"What?" Steve asked looking over at his bestfriend.

"It's just that rabies are, like, my number one greatest fear. And I think we should probably get you to a doctor soon." Robin said quickly, "Because once the symptoms set in it's too late. You're already like dead."
