Eyeliner

     The alarm was blaring. 6:30 AM. Eddie had already started cussing under his breath at it. When you didn't stay the night, he only set it 15 minueted before time to leave. You of course, needed more time. You fumbled around the room trying to gather your bearings, looking for the bathroom door knob. You found your way in, used the restroom and brushed your teeth. You made your way back into the bedroom and heard static blasting loudly "EDDIE THE BANISHED DO YOU COPY??" Eddie threw his pillow at the bulky hunk of metal laying on the dresser. It screeched again, "EDDIE, are you there?". You grabbed it and clicked the button, "good morning Henderson". "Y/N hey! What are you doi-....never mind I don't want to know , gross. Anyway...DO YOU KNOW WHAT TODAY IS?!" Dustin squealed. You were giggling at his boyish reaction when you turned to look at the clock. It was Friday, May 2, 1986. Exactly one month before you and Eddie graduated. You squirmed with excitement, "holy shit Henderson, you're right!". "Of course I am, I'm always right!" he retorted. Eddie had managed to join the two of you in conversation, "cocky little shit, isn't he" you grinned, "see you at school Henderson, over and out". Eddie smiled and lit a cigarette. He took a deep drag, exhaled and finally said "wait ...what is today?". You frowned and crawled across the bed, getting close to him hands on his face , you pinched the cigarette from between his lips, leaned in for a kiss, then dashed it out in the ashtray. "Today Eddie my love is the day you finally give up cigarettes". He rolled his eyes, "ha-ha so funny. Seriously stop doing that, those aren't cheap". You stared at him "yeah, well neither is a burial plot"...he knew you had a point, but he was too tired to argue. "Okay, for real what was all that about?" He whined. You kissed his nose and he half chuckled, "today...Edward Munson *he cringed* makes ONE MONTH, until we graduate". You could feel Eddie shaking his legs "Jesus H. Christ it is!", he was so excited. Eddie had been working at this for a long time. Him graduating was something you both were immensely proud of. When everything happened with Vecna and you thought you'd lost him it was one of your most heart wrenching realizations, that he wouldn't get to graduated. It gutted you and Wayne. But none of that mattered now! In one month he could continue his plan of walking that stage, flipping the bird, and running like hell out of Hawkins High.
     You both shared a deep kiss. Eddie gripped your thigh, "so do we want the quick version of last night" he teased. You leaned in, "someone should have thought of that when the clock went off almost an hour ago, now get ready". He grinned and huffed something about whatever under his breath before getting up and showering. You had just finished your mascara as he was coming out. You frantically dig through your bag , " I know it's here...I just bought it last week" you exclaimed. Eddie muttered through his Hellfire shirt he was pulling on, "what are you looking for". Exasperated you shouted, "MY EYELINER". He jerked around, "baby! Wayne!". Quickly, you remembered his uncle was home from night shift and trying to sleep, "shit sorry" you had lowered your voice, "my eyeliner". Eddie avoided eye contact and said, " I don't know maybe check my top drawer" ...you stared at him. "You stole it again didn't you..." you said. "I don't know what you're talking about" he hummed. "Do not lie to me Eddie Munson...you...stole..my..eyeliner" you said backing him into the corner. "FINE, but I needed it for our show last week, in my defense you left it here...I just didn't give it back". You laughed at him, "you're lucky you look so hot in it". He kissed your nose.
     You finished getting ready and the two of you headed out the door. You took your car today. You got out early because last period was study hall so you were working and Eddie had Hellfire Club so you would pick him up after. You arrived at school and the two of you went to classes...not much longer and this would be all over. However, you'd miss sneaking kisses in the halls with Eddie.
