Agent Severide

Chapter 15

Chicago Med 

Kelly made his way through Med followed by Antonio as the two walked down a bunch of connecting hallways before they ended up by Zoey's room. "SUPID BITCH!" a booming voice yelled causing both them to exchange looks before running in the direction of the sound. 

Kelly and Antonio bolted into the room to find Jack over top of Zoey with his hands wrapped around her neck cutting off her oxygen causing the machines to start beeping peratically. Without thinking Kelly yanked Jack away from his sister sending him flying to the floor between the room and the hall. "Get the hell off of her!" the fully dressed squad lieutenant growled before landing 1 blow to Jack face followed by a second. "HOW BOUT YOU HIT SOMEONE THAT'LL HIT BACK" Kelly yelled landing another punch to Jack's jaw before he was pulled off. 

"What the hell is going on?" it was Morgan that asked standing between Kelly and Jack as Hotch, Rossi, Prentiss, JJ and Reid appeared. The sound of the machines still going speratically causing Dr. Halstead to dart into the room followed by a bunch of nurses. "Her airway collapesed, WE NEED TO INTEBATE NOW!" The tall ginger spoke as Zoey watched everything blur around her before everything went black. 

Reid, JJ and Prentiss all stood in the doorway watching in horror as teh doctors and nurses fractically rushed around their collegue and at this point family watching as they shoved a tube down Zoey's throat. Slowly the beeping of teh machines began to normalize again causing everyone to sigh in relief. 

The doctor walks past teh 3 agents and into the hallway where everyone was standing. "What happened? she was alert and stable less than 10 minutes ago" Dr. Halstead asked in confusion. "THIS BASTARD TRIED TO KILL MY SISTER," Kelly seethed in anger before trying to junge towards Jack again. At this moment is when the CPD's intelligence unit appeared. Jack only smirked a little catching Morgan's attention now. "Oh, you think this is funny tough guy?" Morgan asks him putting two and two together about his partners bruised next a couple weeks prior. "We can bring him down to the station until we sort this out," it was Voight that offered after looking towards the trauma room where the blonde lay intubated while she was still all dolled up from the unsub they caught. 

"We would really appreciate it sergent," Hotch replied as Voight and Olinski took Jack who was handcuffed by Antonio. "We'll be there shortly," Rossi said as they walked off with the man who attempted to kill one of their team members. The group stayed quiet before Hotch walked into Zoey's now empty room as everyone followed. "Looks like we're gonna be staying in Chicago a bit longer, Severide needs us and we aren't leaving untill this is settled." Hotch told the team who nodded looking at the blonde that just laid there montionless. "Who was that guy?" JJ asks while still looking towards the team. "His name's Jack Webber, Zo's been dating him on and off the last almost 2 years," Kelly's voice said from teh doorway of the room as he stared sadly at his sister before he walked in gaining the agents attention. 

"When she came back to celebate Shay's anniversary, I notice the bruises on her neck for teh first time. Apart of me knew he did it to her but she just brushed it off said she got in on teh job from a suspect," Kelly continued earning confusion from them now. Zoey had never been choked out by an unsub, the team never let them get that close if they could help it, Morgan thought. "Severide never got any injuries in the field with us in at least almost a year," Reid said still as confused as everyone else. "I asked her about it, and asked if Jack did it..." the squad lieutenant says with a long sigh. "She brushed it off, said no told me to drop it," he adds. "Why was she covering for him? even Severide knows this is wrong?" Prentiss asks, "Well, that's what we're sticking around to find out," Hotch says pulling his phone out and dialling Garcia's number when the blonde came running in the room. 

"Garcia? what are you do- I came as soon as you told me you found Zoey," Garcia said cutting of JJ's question but paused when she saw the state teh agent was in. "I thought you said she was okay?" Garcia asks looking towards Morgan who let out a shakey breathe. "She was when we found her baby girl," Morgan said pulling her into a hug to try to comfort her. "Look Garcia, Zoey needs us more than ever. Especially you, do you think you can look into a name for us?" Hotch asks her as the woman nods letting go of Morgan before pulling out a laptop and beginning to type. "What's the name?" she asks looking up at them from the seat she was in. "Jack Webber" Morgan said.  

Garcia began typing rapildy before coming to a sudden stop looking at the team, "This guy is bad news like the definition of guys dad warn their daughters about. Jack Webber, 29, lives at..." Garcia paused recognising teh address. "What is it?" Reid asks, "His address is the same address that Severide is listed under," Garcia said causing Kelly to look up surprised at teh news. Zoey never told him Jack was living with her, but it would make more sense as to why she never invited him to go in her house or why she never invited him over. 

Kelly sighed sitting next to Zoey with her limp hand in his laying there, "Morgan Reid why don't you head over to Severide's to go see what you can find that might help us gain more information on what's been going on, "Rossi and I will head down to the station to see if we can get anything out of Jack, JJ, Prentiss wanna ask Severide's friends and family see if they noticed anything strange or saw anything weird?" Hotch said. "If it's alright, I'd like to talk to Jack. I saw the bruises on her when she came back to work and I wanna know why she'd cover for a piece of shit like him." Morgan replies trying to hide his anger but failing. Hotch nods agreeing, "Dave you okay to go with Reid to Severide's?" Hotch asked earning a nod from the older agent.
