Hyunjin's POV

(Next day)

I am worried of Xiu. I know she is bothered with what's happening recently. Felix getting all the blame because of the interview he did, Xiu's Mom marrying Felix's Dad, and her being stuck in the middle.

I wonder if Dad knew about the wedding that will happen soon. What will be his reaction? As far as I know, Dad loved Xiu's Mom more than he loves Mom and that made me hate him. But what can I do? Arranged marriage sucks.

Xiu stayed up all night like she is some call center agent or a medical worker. I have seen her in the kitchen and was doing her homework like it was no tomorrow.

Hyunhoon asked me about what happened to Felix and Xiu, and why is there a statement of Felix saying he cheated? Also, Dad never called us anymore, like he is done bothering us because Felix paid off his debt and his company is having high rates because of the collaboration.

I left the house earlier than usual. Xiu will go with Hyunhoon, while I have to be here to talk to Felix as soon as possible. He sent me a message last night though.

"Hey." Felix greeted as he sat down in front of me

"What do you want to talk about?"

"It's about Xiu." Felix

"If it's about my sister, there is nothing we should talk about. You broke her heart, you said in the interview. I don't have any question-"

"I like her." he said

And that caught my whole attention.

"Why?"

"I don't know. I just realized recently. And yes, I broke her heart recently. That was so wrong of me. But I wanted to talk to you, ask permission to date your sister. Formally." Felix

"You broke her heart and yet you have the guts to ask my permission to date her? What do you think will be my answer?"

"I understand you're mad, but I was confused. I told you, I realized recently." Felix

"And what? You'll realize soon that you really don't have feelings for her? That you just want her around because she is useful to you? That's hell, Felix. We are talking about my sister here, not some random girl you made out with."

He didn't answer.

"I'm trying my best not to get mad at you as a respect to what you did for the company. I am grateful for that, but my sister is a different topic. I can punch you right now or kill you after what you have done. You are fucked up. You expect me to be fine after I have seen you fucking around girls knowing you are engaged to my sister?"

"I'm sorry." he said

"Right. It's easy to say sorry. It was just a word you can say, but I am telling you now. Don't break her heart, Felix."

He stayed quiet.

"You should stay away from her if you'll break her heart only."

"I love her, Hyunjin. That's why I am here." Felix

"I have heard you saying that to the girls you made our with, and they ended up crying."

He sighed.

"Don't do the same to Xiu. I treasure her so much, so don't ever do anything stupid."

After our two classes for today. It's finally break time and we all agreed to eat at a restaurant which is near this place.

The conversation with Felix was a bit fucked up. I do understand that he is sincere, but the moment he told me that he broke her heart, made me so mad. I wanted to punch him but I couldn't. I don't want Xiu to get mad at me because of that.

"Hyunjin." Xiu called as she went to me

"Hmm?"

She showed me her phone and it was a text message.

From: Tara Yuan
We will meet Felix and his Dad tomorrow night. He still doesn't know about you. I'll send the address and tell Hyunjin to drive you there.

"Are you okay with it?"

She shrugged her shoulders "Even if I am not okay meeting them, I can't just leave Mom and let her endure the rudeness of Felix towards her."

"You're going? I'll drive you there."

"Thank you. I know you are worried but that's better than keeping it as a secret. If he'll get mad, then be it. I don't have anything to defend. I am so done with everything that is happening." she shuckled

"I talked to Felix."

Xiu looked at me and said nothing.

"He asked my permission to date you. I didn't say anything about it, and kept scolding him for what he did. Are you two okay now?"

"Yeah. We talked, and we are good now. I mean we are dating already." Xiu

"Wow? What's the point of asking for my permission? That jerk, really. But what can I do? It's your decision that matters."

Xiu smiled at me and nodded, "I know you always got my back with whatever happens. I know you won't leave me."

"Right. That's why you were doing what you want knowing that I will stay with you despite your stupid decisions, huh!"

"Of course!" she giggled

"If I saw you cried, I swear. Don't ever stop me from hitting him."

"Okay, I will help you hit him." Xiu

"Crazy. Just be happy. That matters the most to me."
