Christmas Eve.
The sun rose early Christmas Eve morning but the skies were grey and cloudy with snow flurries coming down. Rosie and Momma were up and in the kitchen of The Holly Inn icing and decorating Jennifer and Jonathan's Wedding Cake for this Evening's Wedding at the Scott Family Home. The roads were busy with people who were out running last min. errands. While the children played in the snow or ice skated around the Gazebo. Out among the busy people were Drew and and his wife Lucy who were headed to the Fancy Wedding Dress Boutique to pick up the Cinderella Wedding gown and Glass slippers for Jennifer for her Christmas Eve Wedding this evening. While they waited for Jennifer's Wedding gown and Glass slippers be brought to them Lucy went looking around the Boutique and called Drew over to where she was and showed him the Prince Charming Wedding outfit. "We should get this for Jonathan. Lucy said. Why? Drew asked her. Lucy raised her eyebrow and said gently every princess needs a prince charming." Drew smiled and said that's so Jonathan. Yeah Jonathan is Jennifer's Prince Charming. Even though he's Scottish. Drew said jokingly. Lucy laughed I don't think Jennifer minds that Jonathan is Scottish. She loves him Plain and Simple. A few mins later a sales clerk brought Jennifer's Cinderella Wedding Gown and Glass Slippers out to Drew and Lucy. "We'd like to get this too. Lucy added placing the Prince Charming Wedding Suit on the counter. The sales girl rang up the Suit but the price wouldn't come up so she went to get her manager and a min. later they were back trying to ring up the Suit after three tries the price still wouldn't appear. Ten mins later the computer system was shut down for repair. Drew asked the manager was there anyway she could find out how much the Suit was? Unfortunately no there isn't the manager said Why? My brother Jonathan is getting married this evening and his Bride is a Cinderella fan. Drew added and Every Disney Princess needs a Prince Charming. Lucy said. After giving it some thought the manager said You can have it. As a Wedding Present from the Boutique. Thank you so much. Drew said shaking the manager's hand as he and Lucy took the Wedding Gown and Suit back to the Scott Family Home. As the day went on The Scott Family Home was decorated inside and out with both Jennifer and Jonathan's families helping with the decorating. By the time Drew and Lucy returned home Jennifer was on the back deck helping JD and Ana with the lights, wrapping the back door with wrapping paper before adding a wreath done by Jessica a few years ago. Meanwhile Drew and Lucy took the Wedding Attire up the stairs and hid Jennifer's Wedding Gown in Lucy's Craft Room, and hid Jonathan's Suit in JD's room until the it was time for Jennifer and Jonathan to get ready for their Christmas Eve Wedding that Evening. As the morning turned to the afternoon people were heading home to wrap last min gifts, or heading out to get food for dinner tonight and for Christmas Day. The snow turned from flurries to light fluffy snow covering the sidewalks, roads, homes, and cars parked at the curb, or in driveways. As families got ready to settle in for the evening the sun had begun to set. At the Scott Family Home the last min decorations were being taken care of by Cora, Momma, Jessica, and John while Rosie, Lucy, Ana, and Stefanie helped Jennifer get ready for her Christmas Eve Wedding in Lucy's Craft Room. In JD's room JD, Drew, and Colin helped Jonathan get ready as well. The last piece that was added was a belt that the Bride had made early that morning for her Groom out of Tartan fabric she found in Lucy's fabric box ten mins later Jennifer finished the belt for her Prince Charming. While Drew and Lucy had been out getting the Wedding Gown and Slippers Jennifer had pulled JD aside and handed him a small gift bag that contained the belt that she made for Jonathan earlier, and to wait until it was time to get ready for the Wedding to place it around Jonathan's waist. JD took a small peek inside the gift bag and let out a low whistle at the beautiful Tartan belt, and said Jonathan is gonna love this. And thank you for thinking of our Scottish background. JD added as he gave his soon to be new sister in law a hug. As the sun began to set time ticked closer to 7:00 pm. While other families finished up dinner, and the kids had taken baths and got ready for bed for the night Jennifer was getting ready for her Wedding with her Bridal Party Lucy, Ana, Ali, and Aurora all wore different shades of blue. Stefanie looked beautiful in her silver flower girl dress, and Rosie looked amazing in a Soft White dress with Holly in her hair. While Ana and Lucy were doing Jennifer's hair and make-up the men were dressed and headed down the stairs to the living room. Jonathan was standing in front of the fireplace waiting for his Bride. Upstairs Jennifer's hair and make-up was done the last piece that was added to her hair was the small tiara she got for her birthday. At ten mins to 7:00 pm Stefanie was downstairs in her flower girl dress, and played " A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" on her flute. Jonathan turned toward the stairs as Lucy came down followed by Ana, Ali, Aurora, Rosie came down in front of Jennifer and a second later Jennifer appeared looking like a Beautiful Disney Princess. As Jennifer walked down the stairs slowly Stefanie and Cora sang "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" from Cinderella as Jennifer reached the bottom step JD walked toward Jennifer and escorted her down the isle to Jonathan and her Dad as tears streamed down Rosie's cheeks at the sight of their second oldest daughter looking like the Fairytale Princess she loves. Momma handed her daughter a tissue to dab at her eyes gently as Jennifer turned to hand her Mom her bouquet, and said softly Don't cry Mom. Rosie hugged Jennifer before letting her go. As the snow continued to fall Santa married their daughter Jennifer and Jonathan Scott in front of their families in front of a warm fire and a beautifully decorated Christmas Tree with thousands of lights twinkling like stars in the sky. After Santa said "You May Kiss Your Bride" Jonathan smiled and said Thank you to Santa and kissed his new wife sweetly on her mouth. Momma checked the time on her watch and told Santa that they had to go back to the North Pole in an hour to deliver Christmas presents to the children. The Claus family thanked the Scotts for their hospitality and took a slice of Wedding cake to go. Before they left Santa, Rosie, and Momma handed Jennifer and Jonathan their Wedding present open it now if you want Rosie said or wait until Christmas morning. And with a wink The Claus family headed back to the North Pole this time with Stefanie. Jennifer and Jonathan opened their wedding present from her family and let out a shocked squeal of happiness. Inside the box was the Deed and Keys to a House. As Jennifer and Jonathan looked over the deed JD took the note from the box that read: Congrats on your Marriage! May you be Blessed in Love, Light, and Christmas Magic. Love, Mom, Dad, and Grandma. A slow stream of tears fell down Jennifer's cheeks as her new husband wiped the tears away and kissed her on her head.
North Pole- Christmas Eve.
Inside Santa's workshop the elves work quickly but carefully to finish getting the toys wrapped and ready to be delivered tonight. Soon The Claus family appears inside the workshop with Stefanie who goes wide eyed with wonder and awe. As the elves greet Santa, and the family his head elf asked them where Jennifer is? As Santa leads Stefanie away to get her ready for tonight's Sleigh ride Rosie tells the elves that Jennifer is in Merry and Bright, CO. with her new husband Jonathan Scott. As the elves process what Mrs. Claus told them Momma informs them that just because Jennifer is married now doesn't make her any less a member of this family. And yes we'll miss her, but we'll see her again soon. Ali added. As Santa and Stefanie went to his office to get ready for their Christmas Eve flight a small twinkle caught Santa's eye he opened one of his spare lockers and pulled out a present wrapped in blue with a note from Jennifer saying To My Niece Stefanie, I made this for you years ago in the hopes that you would return to us, and you have. Merry Christmas sweetie. Love, Jennifer. After Santa read the note left by Jennifer Stefanie opened the present and was in Awe at the sight of her own Santa outfit but done like Elsa's dress from Frozen. Rosie came in to see if they needed any help Santa said he didn't but Stefanie might with hers. As Rosie and Stefanie went into the bathroom to change Santa sent a small magical note to their daughter Jennifer letting her know that Stefanie loved her Christmas Eve Sleigh outfit.
Merry and Bright, CO.
Back in Merry and Bright, CO. Jennifer and Jonathan and his family are sitting and enjoying the Wedding Cake made for them by Rosie and Momma. Soon a twinkle on the tree got Jennifer's attention and went to see what it was. When she got close it was a magical note from her Dad letting her know that Stefanie loved her Christmas Eve outfit for tonight. Jennifer smiled and walked away knowing that her niece Stefanie was back where she belongs with their family.
North Pole.
Back at the North Pole Rosie and Stefanie have stepped out of the bathroom with Stefanie changed and ready to go on her first Christmas Eve flight with her Grandpa. Santa is in the workshop while Colin, Ali, and Aurora are taking care of the Sleigh. Stefanie walked into the workshop with Rosie and starts helping her Grandpa put all the toys in his sack. "This would go a lot faster if the machine hadn't went down. The head elf Laurie said pointing to the huge machine at the other end. Stefanie walked down to the other end, and carefully opened the door and looked up and sighed then called to her Grandpa. There's a Huge toy stuck in the chute. Stefanie said. Santa opened the door, and looked up in the chute sure enough there was a Huge Teddy Bear stuck in the chute." We need help. Santa said to Rosie. Stefanie stepped away and opened a quick gate and ran into it to get help. Jennifer, Jonathan, and Drew were sitting in the living room talking." Stefanie. Jennifer said What are you doing here. Grandpa needs help at the North Pole. Jennifer opened a big gate for her, Stefanie, Jonathan, and Drew. A min later they were in the workshop. Dad. Jennifer said. What's wrong? There's a Huge Teddy Bear stuck in the chute. Santa said. Jennifer opened the door and looked up then smiled I believe you and Drew can handle this. She said sweetly to her new husband as of thirty mins ago. Jonathan and Drew stepped into the machine, and in one smooth motion they had the Huge Teddy Bear out of the chute and soon a bell went off releasing a neat line of wrapped presents. Jennifer smiled and kissed her new husband and hugged her new brother in law. Drew and Jonathan asked Santa What he wants them to do with the huge Teddy Bear. He goes in the sack. Santa said. He's for a little girl. Soon Jennifer, Jonathan, and Drew head home to Merry and Bright, CO. While the workshop puts the finishing touches on the Christmas Eve flight. By the time Santa and Stefanie take off to start delivering presents all of the kids are sound asleep around the world. Meanwhile Jennifer and Jonathan are spending their Wedding night at The Holly Inn in the Suite The Claus family stayed in just days ago. Before Jonathan fell asleep he kissed his wife and said Merry Christmas Jennifer, and was asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.
