^^ Chamber of Reflections - Mac DeMarco ^^

It's day two, and I woke up at 11 am. I didn't really have anything to do today until tonight so I laid in bed for another hour, then took a long shower. I shaved my legs, my arms, my armpits, and everything else in between.

After I get out, I check my phone to see a text from him.

I'll pick you up at 6. Send me your address.

I type in the address of the apartment then press send, making sure to put a smiley face after. He reciprocates the smiley face as well. I feel like I'm in high school all over again.

To think I met this guy at a gay bar. That was funny. I didn't even know if he was gay either, maybe he was just there like I was. For drinks.

I don't know why this process took almost all day, but finding the perfect outfit took forever. I finally decided on a black pencil skirt, a tucked-in cream-colored blouse, and low, platform docs with white socks. Over that, when it gets cold, I have a black suit jacket.

I don't think it's too fancy, I mean, I don't really know where he is bringing me to be honest, so it's good to be safe.

After I finished my makeup and final touches, I had 30 minutes before he would be here, so during that time I sat on the couch and waited patiently, even though it felt like forever.

I hear the ding from the coffee table and immediately lunge at the phone. I read the text, then scramble to get my shoes back in since I did take them off.

I head out the door and down to the street to see a black car parked with dark tinted windows and black wheels. He then rolls down the window, and I open the car door.

The entire car smelled like expensive cologne and even he looked expensive. Why the fuck was he working at Walmart and how did he get this much money?

"You look amazing," He says as I enter.

I smile, blushing, "You do too."

He smirks then starts the engine, "So I have this place in mind, and I'm glad you dressed well because it is fine dining."

"Oooh," I coo, "I'm excited."

"Good, I'm glad. I've been wanting to take someone here for quite a while now, I just haven't found the right person."

I had to stop myself from screaming in the excitement that he thought I was worthy for this place. A song started playing, and I recognized the voice as Mac DeMarco, but I forgot the name of the song.

"Alone again," He sang dramatically, "Alone again."

I laughed, watching as he sang the lyrics of the song. I felt safe with him, like I'd known him forever. He was comfortable with me too. I think. But so far, I'm pretty happy.

"C'mon, you must know Mac DeMarco. Sing with me," he whines.

"No!" I laugh in embarrassment, "I can't sing."

"Everyone can sing that's why we have vocal cords."

I shake my head, "I barely know the song."

"Alright, fine, fine. But I'm going to teach you this song later okay? It's one of my favorites. For many reasons."

"Okay," I nod, smiling, "I'll be looking forward to it."

He was sweet and kind the entire dinner. He asked about my family and my friends, my childhood, and my favorite games. I told him that my parents moved to Japan when I went to college because they had met there on a trip. Although I wasn't fully Japanese or even half, I always felt a longing to go to Japan. My grandma was half Japanese and half American, so my dad was like 35% Japanese because his dad was American too. Basically, the genes were pretty washed out when they got to me.
