Your POV

It wasn't until you were finally getting to some editing that you remembered Dr. Facilier didn't exactly tell you what happened to Tiana.

You groaned. Of course. And just when you were about to write, too!

With a sigh, you threw on a f/c cardigan over your white shirt before heading out.

You weren't exactly thinking where you were going until you were already at the door to his shop. You hesitated for a moment, but before you could knock the door opened. And there stood the man you wanted to see.

"Hello Doll, what do you need?" He asked.

"It's about last night," you huffed. "You were very vague about what happened to Tia."

"There's nothing else to tell you Doll," he replied with a smirk.

"Liar!" You snapped. "What's this about the Prince turning her into a frog?! And who was that dancing with Lottie?!"

His eyes went wide and he grabbed your shoulders, pulling you inside and shutting the door. He looked around cautiously before turning back to you.

"Hush, Doll, we can't let anyone overhear now, can we?" He asked, a hint of fear shining in his eyes. "Besides, we had a deal, you work under me now." You hesitated for a moment. He was right, but, to be fair, he had never given you any rules, so, technically, you could question him all you wanted.

"Well, now that no one can hear us, are you going to answer my questions?" You huffed, narrowing your eyes and trying to be intimidating. Dr. Facilier, however, was unfazed. He smirked and wrapped an arm around your waist and leaned forward.

"Do you really want to know Doll? I assure you Tiana's perfectly fine," he cooed, sending chills down your spine.

"Do you..." you paused for a moment to gather your thoughts. "Where is she?"

"Tiana and the froggy Prince are on their way here. They'll be back by tonight," he answered. You mentally sighed in relief. At least he answered one of your questions.

"Um, do you mind saying who was dancing with Lottie then? Since the Prince is a frog and with Tia?" You murmured cautiously, not sure if you were annoying him or not.

"Just someone who gave their loyalty to me in turn for riches," he answered casually. You looked up at him with wide eyes, surprised that he actually answered. He chuckled at your reaction before wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you close to him.

You felt your cheeks heat up. But, you were inwardly screaming. How could you fall for the Shadow Man? How could you let him do this to you?!

You weren't one that much enjoyed physical contact, and with what he's done you felt like screaming, but you actually... liked it.

Now, you sort of hated the fact that you enjoyed his company, but there was just something about him that you liked. And although you couldn't really describe it, you had a feeling that he liked you as well.

Dr. Facilier's POV

Honestly, he had no idea what he was doing. How could he have let himself fall for this girl?! But, for a little over a year he's caught himself watching her whenever she passed by.

He wasn't sure why, but something told him this girl would save his life one day. And, as he let go of Y/n and watched as she--flustered-- stammered out a "goodbye" before turning and bolting out the door, he couldn't help but wonder if these thoughts were true.

(A/N: Oh god, sorry I haven't updated this story in so long! I kind of got stressed out with school starting again and didn't really have the motivation to continue writing. But, I've come back, and although I can't say when the next update it'll be, I'll try to update more often. Hope you all have a great day/night! Bye!)
