Your POV
"Hey Lottie, what's going on between you and the Prince?" You asked, trying to sound as sincere as possible. You knew that the man she was with wasn't the Prince of Maldonia, but she didn't know that and you'd rather avoid getting in trouble with the Shadow Man, or, as you now knew, Dr. Facilier.
"Oh Y/n honey, haven't I told ya?" Lottie hummed, excitement in her voice. You glanced around before focusing back on her and shaking your head.
"We're getting married tonight!" The blonde girl in pink exclaimed. "It's gonna be a Marti Graes wedding, and we'll be on the biggest float of them all!"
"Oh, that's nice Lottie," you smiled, feeling bad that your friend thinks she's marrying a true prince.
"Oh, and guess what sugar, you're gonna be with us!" She chirped. You took a step back, looking at her with wide eyes.
"What? Why me?"
"Because sugar, you're famous around here. The people will love to see you up there with us!"
"Lottie, you know how I am around people," you murmured.
"Oh please Y/n!" She begged. "I already have a dress picked out for you!" You frowned.
"Alright," you gave in with a sigh.
"Yay!" She cheered. "Thank you sugar!" She wrapped her arms around you in a quick hug before backing away and leaving.
"Meet me at my manor around 5:30!" She called, shutting the car door. You watched as the driver drove her back to her manor, waving and smiling.
When she was completely out of site, however, your smile turned to a frown and you hurried back inside. It was 3:45 currently, and Dr. Facilier wanted you at his shop by 4, which gave you about five minutes to get ready.
You ran upstairs to your room before slipping on a jade necklace and bracelet to go with your black dress. You hurriedly brushed through your hair before putting your black heels on and hurrying downstairs and out the door.
With that, you made your way as fast as you could to Dr. Facilier's Emporium.
Tiana's POV
"I hope Lottie and Y/n are okay," Tiana fretted, hopping back and forth. Naveen and Ray watched her, a curious look in their eyes.
"Tiana, we'll be back in New Orleans tonight," Naveen stated, trying to soothe her.
"I know. But what if Y/n got caught up with the Shadow Man?! I've seen him staring at her a couple of times whenever she passes by his Emporium, and she's just the type of person he'd go after!" Tiana yelled, feeling more and more worried.
"You warned her about him, haven't you?" Ray asked.
"Well, yes, but..."
"Then she should be fine," Naveen finished, cutting Tiana off. Tiana glared at him before looking away with a sigh. She hoped he was right, but only time would tell.
Dr. Facilier's POV
"Hmm, where is my little Doll?" Dr. Facilier asked quietly to himself. He glanced at the clock, noticing it was only 3:54. He sighed; how slow time went when you were waiting for something.
Thankfully, there was a knock on his door only a couple seconds later. He smirked, watching as the door opened and Y/n stepped in with an unreadable expression on her face.
"You're early Doll," Dr. Facilier purred, walking up to her and snaking an arm around her waist.
She flinched slightly and glanced away. "Um, I'd assume you already heard about the wedding tonight?" She asked, still not looking at him. He frowned for a second before smiling again, grabbing her chin and turning her head so she was looking at him.
"Indeed I have Doll," he answered.
"Well, uh, Lottie's wanting me on the float with them," Y/n responded. Well, suffice to say he was surprised.
Your POV (Again)
Dr. Facilier didn't respond. You could only assume he was surprised, which means the one who was pretending to be the Prince didn't tell him everything.
However, you didn't have time to think about that as Dr. Facilier leaned forward and kissed you.
You blushed. Guess you'd just have to wait and see how things went...
