Oakley PotterIts June now. We get out of school in one day. Therefore Im forced to go back to my muggle family.
My Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon and my obnoxious cousin Dudley. They've always had a hatred for me and Harry. So much so that Harry sleeps under the staircase and I sleep on the couch. My clothes and belongings are kept in my trunk for school at all times. We're woken up at 9am every morning no matter the day.
The hatred began somewhere when Aunt Petunia and our mother were kids. She had always been helping that mother was a witch and she hadn't been. So the burning passion just continued when we were born.
I would much rather live with our parents friends instead of mothers family. Which would be Sirius and Remus. Sadly, that didn't happen. But I do think of what life would be like if we lived with them instead.

"Oakley" I heard from behind me. I was sat in the corner of my room at the edge of my bed just dozing off. Completely cut off from the world around me.
I flipped around to see a worried Draco walked towards me.
"Whats up?" I slurred. We were the only two people in my dorm room right now. Daphne is with Theo and Merlin knows where Pansy is.
"I don't want to go home Oakley." I knew it was somewhat serious when he used my first name instead of my nickname. He usually only does that to get my attention.
"Aww, why's that Dray?" I cooed as I patted the bed beside me in hopes of him sitting down.
"Bad things happen at home. Especially since you-know-who has returned." He said. Sadness and worry laced his perfect voice. I could hear the way he was scared. Usually Draco is a confident young man, but I can surely tell when his cold-font has faltered.
"Voldemort?" I questioned. If I was brave enough to survive meeting him and seeing his rath of anger. Then I have the right to be able to say his name. Its not something to be scared of.
"Don't say his name." He said, anger being easily seen on his expression.
"Sorry."
"Anyways, I wish I could just run away during the summer. Ya know and Find my way back when the school year starts." He slurred. His skin was pale, more pale than usual. You can tell he was nervous to talk about it. But I'm so glad that he's opening up to me.
"If I didn't live with a bunch of annoying Muggles, then I would let you stay with me. But I think you'd have them all dead by the end of July." I laughed a the thought. Draco would absolutely go nuts living around Dudley for the summer.
"Yeah I think I'll pass." He said sarcastically.
"Write me this summer, Will you?" I questioned. Maybe if I write him alot then he'll be distracted from whatever his parents are up too.
"If I happen to remember, Then yes I will." He smiled at me slightly. Ive never seen him smile fully, come to think about it.
"See you on the train tomorrow?"
"Alright" He said as he stood up and made his way out of my room.
—
The next morning is officially the day we go home. My trunk is packed and kids are starting to make there way over to where we board the train.
As I made my way behind Daphne and Theo, I practically had to drag my luggage. Way too heavy to carry, that's for sure.
"Hey Oaks"
I turned around to Harry stood behind me with Ron at his side. So I stopped in my tracks.
"Yes?" I sighed, my voice sounding tired. I didn't sleep well last night, had a terrible nightmare and I woke up to my bed sheets soaked in sweat.
"Meet me at the platform yeah?" He slurred. I assumed he wanted to go home together. As of course we stay at the same place. Here comes to an irritable summer.
I looked around, not wanting to be seen with my oh so famous brother. "I guess yeah." And with that I walked onto the train and found my compartment of friends.
—
"Im so severely tired." I huffed.
Daphnes eyes dropped with concern. She's always been the caring friend, the type that'll risk herself for you ya know. "Why? Is everything okay?"
"Yes Daphne, Im just dreading going home. I wish this train ride could just last till next school year." I joked. Scratching my neck in anxiousness.
Draco slid into the booth across from us, Blaise following shortly behind. Both crossing their legs over the other one.
"Merlins name the line was long getting on here." Blaise said as he slugged down into his seat. He re-tied his shoes and sat back up.
"Yeah took a good twenty minutes just to get the first years on. Bloody idiots they are." Draco muttered. He sounded very impatient and angered.
We all giggled at his remarks. All of us shuffling around the compartment just trying to get comfortable.
"These bench seats are so annoying!" Daphne yelled. Theo slapped her in the arm because of her loud antics.
"That you are correct" I laughed.
We all sat there in silence for practically the rest of the train ride. A few conversations we're started here and there, but that's about it. Time went by slow too. Most of my train ride was spent sleeping it off. Anything to try and calm my nerves down.
"Finally we're here." Draco exclaims as the train came to a halt.
