Oakley Potter

As we arrived, the house was quite loud. The tv was on, everyone was talking, Aunt Petunia was making dinner and Dudley was complaining about school.

"There those two goons are." Dudley harassed as he lunched a rubber band towards Harry and I.

Harry picked up the rubber band and flung it back. "Pleasure to see you too Dudley." He coughed as he threw his stuff under the staircase.

I laughed at his remarks as I sat my things next to Harrys. I can already tell the start to this summer is going to suck. Just be the vibes of the house and the people.

Its been two weeks now that we've been home. Every day so boringly similar to the last. Me and Harry have this habit of taking a walk everyday at 2pm just to get away from our obnoxious family.

Ive been writing letters back and fourth with Daphne and Draco. Draco takes much longer to write back than Daphne does. He always tells me an excuse as of to why he sends them so late.

"Ready to write those letters?" Harry says. We both send our letters with Hedwig at the same time. So the poor owl doesn't have to make many trips. He sends his to Ron and Hermione and I send them to Daph and Dray.

"I assume so" I slurred as I picked up my paper and quill. And started scribbling down words.

Dear Dray,

Life here at the Dursley's absolutely sucks. Constant bickering really. Summer is only two weeks through and I'm already sick of it. I'd much rather spend my time at Hogwarts with you and Daphne.
Alas, How has your summer been? Anything happening with your parents?
I'm not even going to mention you-know-who in case our letters go astray.

Write me soon~
Oakley P.

Dear Daphne,

How's your summer been girly? Mines been pretty shitty. I haven't left this house besides simple walks. And I think I'm ready to strangle Dudley.
Anywayssss I miss you alot, Love ya Daphne

Write me soon~
Oakley P.

"Im finished." I exclaimed as I sealed both of the letters in an envelope.

"Alright I'll go give them to Hedwig." He said as he took my letters along with his and handed them over to his owl.

We watched the letter fly away into the abyss, so far so that we couldn't even see the owl.

"I miss Hogwarts." Harry said with a sigh. He's been anxious all summer so far. Just waiting for something to happen to us. Weather that be by The Dark Lord or The Dursley's.

"Why don't we leave and take off to the burrow?" I suggested, trying to lighten up his mood. It may be crowded up there but at least they aren't total assholes.

He looked at me and smiled, "That's what I asked in my letter to Ron and Hermione."

"Well good" I smiled back, pulling him into a small hug just for comfort. Hopefully they say yes, it would give us a chance to get away from these blessit
people and this damned house.

He looked around the side walk, watching the people with dogs walk by us. "They should write me back soon."

"I sure hope so, this place is terrible." I muttered under my breath. The wind is beating on our faces, and the sun probably burning our skin.

Its been 4 days now. Days and time move by very slow. Each day is excruciatingly boring to say the least.

It was just me and Harry awake, since its already past everyone else's bedtime. Its about 12am I would say. I was sat in the living room and Harry went outside a few minutes ago.

"Our letters arrived" Harry said excitedly as he re-entered the house, with three envelopes in his hand. He walked over and sat next to me on the couch, handing me my two letters.

"Odd time for them to show up" I responded.

He opened his and started reading as I did the same.

Dear Oakley,

My summer has been pretty good so far, my parents took me and Astoria to the beach for a vacation. But other than that I haven't done much besides hangout with my family.
I miss you a ton and I cannot wait to get back to Hogwarts, Love you Oakley

From,
Daphne G.

That girl has always been a sweetheart. I'm so glad she has a good home-life. She was much luckier than I was or ever will be. But none the less I still love her and I'm happy for her.

And next I ripped open Dray's letter.

Dear 'Lee'

My summer has been pretty shitty, but I don't think I'm going to get into all of that. Nothing has really been happening with my parents, there always at what they like to call meetings. I just call them a waste of time.
Miss you.

Draco never really expresses his emotions, in letters or in person. I just assume he's not a very open person. Which is okay, until there's something serious going on then its not the best trait to have.

"They said we could come over for the rest of the summer if we'd like." Harry offered with a smile.

I smiled back and slid my letters back into their envelopes. "Alright then we'll head out tomorrow morning, Lets say 10am?" I answered, and sighed a breath of relief.

"Sounds good" He said as he stood up and walked towards his little 'bedroom' under the stairs. "Im going to head to bed, you should too Oaks. Got a long day ahead of us tomorrow." He said as he left the room.

All that being said, I was kind of excited to leave this house. The boringness has gotten to my head and I want nothing more than too leave.
Now typically I wouldn't want to go there, with the Weasleys and Granger and whoever else. Most of the time I find them quite repelling. But considering the circumstances, they cannot be more annoying than this family. Its just not possible. They take the cake when it comes to annoyingness.
