Oakley Potter

"You did amazing out there Oakley," Daphne said as she lifted spaghetti onto her dinner plate.

I looked over at her, "I may have survived but gosh was I scared, I was so nervous I could've peed myself" She let out a soft chuckle and handed me a plate.

After an hour of talking, dinner was over and it was now like 7 a clock. I think Im going to go on up to the astronomy tower just to take a break from everything.

As I reached my way up there, I immediately plumped down on the ground, leaning against the side railing. I have always loved it up here. The stars, the fresh air, the occasional shooting stars. Its so peaceful up here. I may consider it my favorite spot on Hogwarts ground.

As soon as I got myself comfortable I heard someone tiptoeing up the stairs. "Ah Fancy you being up here" I heard from behind me. I glanced over my shoulder and who else but Malfoy himself.

I shifted over to give him room to sit next to me. "It's peaceful up here" I said as I continued to gaze up at the sky.

"That it is Oakley, That it is"

It was silent. But it was a comfortable silence. Me and Draco had never been close. Besides few conversations here and there. We used to argue, constantly, and he's still prick to everyone besides his small circle of people, us being the only people he can tolerate.

I broke my gaze and leaned my head slightly over to look at him, "I wonder what the next task is."

"I'm not sure, but I think whatever it is, you'll do just fine" He says this with confidence. He was the first person to try and brighten my mood within the first task, which just proves that he's grown out of the 'being mean to me' phase.

"You know Draco, we used to argue constantly. It was ever single day. And now? We just kind of grew out of it. Its almost like a switch just flipped and boom we're nice to each other." I always thought of this, so it was kinda like my thoughts just poured from my mouth. It was a comfortable feeling.

"I like to think we were just childish"

I scooted closer to him, just enough to fill the space. "I wish I could think of a nickname for you, I've always tried thinking of one"

"Well I hope you don't come up with some annoying one" He said with a laugh like scoff.

"Hmm" I bluntly started tapping my finger to the top of my forehead just for dramatic effect.

I giggled a bit, it causes Draco too look over into my eyes, I continued to giggle, "Blondie"

"No."

"Drakie" I giggled alot this time, I could now imagine actually calling him that.

"Merlins No" He scoffed with a eyeroll

I scooted in front of him "I got it, Im gonna call you it weather you like it or not"

I decided to wait a few seconds just for not needed dramatic effect.

"Dray or if I feel like annoying you I'll call ya Dray-Dray" I had a huge smile on my face. He looked at me with a sarcastic annoyance look in his eyes. We just sat there maintaining eye contact.

I look back up and scoot a bit away from him. Just to give him some personal space, "Soooo Dray how's your day been?"

"Worse now that you've called me that" He said with a hateful eye.

I stood up and he took the hint to follow along, "We ought to get back to the common room."

And with that we both made our way back down to the dungeon.
