Sonic & the Legend of the Order of the Stone: The Rise of the Admin - Ep. 2

Part 3: Wild Winterlands

After leaving Beacontown, Sonic, Jesse, and friends continue to follow the path shown to them by the Admin.

As they walk along the path, the group suddenly hears a growl from somewhere ahead, causing them to stop and look around.

Jesse: Stay close.

Sonic: And keep an eye out for any monsters.

The group nods as they move closer together before continuing on.

Jack: I don't mean to sound suspicious, but... Can we really be sure the Admin is gonna keep his promise about the clock? That the town is going to be safe once we get it back?

Petra: I get what you're saying. I'm not getting a trustworthy vibe off of him.

Sonic: Me neither. After everything that's happened, I wouldn't be surprised if the Admin had something else in mind after this.

Jesse: If he knows what's good for him, then he will keep his word. We'll get the clock, and the town will be freed from this eternal night.

Knuckles: And not to mention this eternal winter.

Petra: Yeah... But if he doesn't, we'll just have to use another... punchier... way to convince him.

Shadow: Whether or not he keeps his deal, we'll need to keep our guard up. There's no telling what other tricks he might have up his sleeves.

The group nods in agreement while Petra moves ahead to walk alongside Jesse.

Petra: Hey, Jesse... Uh, can we, um, talk?

Jesse: Uh, yeah...

As Jesse says this, the rest of the group starts to pull ahead, with Vos saying,

Vos: I'll just walk a little more over here...

Radar: Oh, uh, me too...

Jesse: What's up?

Petra: Uh, about this trip I've got planned for Jack... It's not what you think it is. It's just a little trip. An opportunity to spend some time away from Beacontown to, uh... I don't know... Find myself?

Hearing this, Jesse replies,

Jesse: I don't get it, Petra. Did I do something wrong? Did I upset you in any way?

Petra: Oh, no, no. It's not about you. This is just... something I gotta do.

Sonic: What do you mean?

Petra: (sighs) Look, I'm really sorry it had to happen this way. I was just really excited to be hanging out with real, hardcore adventurers again. Plus, I was worried that you... You guys might not need me anymore...

To this, Jesse replies,

Jesse: That's ridiculous. Of course we still need you, Petra.

Sonic: He's right. You're the reason we ended up going on this new adventure together.

Cream: And you're the reason that we were able to come together when we first came to this world.

Cheese: Chao!

Sonic: Even so, it's still a bit of a surprise that you would actually decide to go with Jack and his crew on another adventure

Petra: I... (sighs) Listen... Everything's so different than how they were when we first met... It's all been... changing...
