Fire signs
Stars glimmer on the horizon
Like white wine in drunken evenings
Poured off all mind and reason
As stuttering hearts begin confessing
It was then, in the planet of crimson
I decided to ask for a favor
The moons of Venus, goddess of passion
Has earned herself a hopeless lover
Constellations, I then traced
To ensure a future for us two
And with no qualms or distaste,
I wished all the stars for you
You were a vision of tarot cards
And wishful readings from a magician
And like a fool with a brittle heart
I chanted a lover's incantation
Oh, how quickly did it become
A Dark magic of questions and riddles
Incantations were soon undone;
The goddess of love sure is fickle
I asked the planets for the facts
Of whether your emotions rang true.
But why did I ask the zodiac
For feelings that you can attest to?
I've decided to stop this feeling in my gut
From tarot readings, I've grown to hate
I know that Venus may not be to blame but
Even the stars can't align our fates
