Perfectionist
The best thing about a poem
Is it doesn't have to rhyme
Words tumble like water flowing
From a tower undesigned
The best thing about a story
Is it doesn't have to end
Like a frayed memory
That a reader has to mend
The best things are often
Something you can't help
And that's why they are something
I can't claim for myself
Because I like it when poems rhyme
Like a fountain that I crafted
And I like a story with stitches tied
Like an embroidery I mastered
You are a poem that doesn't rhyme, and a story with no end,
You are a waterfall tumbling down a hill over the bend,
So this applies to you: the best thing that I skipped
Love is unpredictable, yet I still want the script
