August 6, 2022- It was a prank
It's me waiting, watching for cameras or a hidden mic
It's me dreading the day when it goes to shit
I don't know, it wasn't as complicated as this
And I wasn't such a pessimist
But as a pessimist, I am kind of hopeful
That at every turn and whenever I'm doubtful
That you'd somehow prove me wrong
I invest time in people and experiences
Wishing this experience won't be wasted
Hoping it won't be a prank
