"I'm finally here!" Brad happily said as he reentered the Fortune-Teller's Room. He then shined his flashlight at the crystal ball, watching it glow brighter and brighter until Madame Trixie reappeared.
Brad then pulled out one of the items he found and showed it to her. "I found some stuff for you to look at!" He blurted out.
"Hmm? What is this object you have here? Please show it to Madame Trixie." She spoke with great interest.
The rabbit nodded and handed the item to her, which she inspected carefully.
"What do we have here? If it isn't Dave the Bat's glove! Ah ha, and still damp with the sweat of the living!"
"Yeah, he can be pretty sweaty on a hot day or when he's nervous." Brad admitted, chuckling to himself.
"Wait a moment...did I just say...Dave the Bat?" Madame Trixie talked mysteriously.
"Yes. Why, do you know who he is?" Brad asked curiously.
"Could it be...THAT Dave? One of the heroes of Toonopolis?" She asked, now looking at Brad.
"Yeah, he's my big brother!" The rabbit blared.
The female bat ghost mumbled to herself for a bit over something before speaking again.
"Ahhh, I see now. Well, I see everything, so I saw before, but now I REALLY do see it now. So you're one of the famous Watson Brothers...and you've come to this place to find him, along with your sister and friends...well, aren't you a kind-hearted little brother!!! HACK ka ha harf!" Trixie then started to have a coughing fit.
"Are you ok?" Brad worried asked.
"Yes...I just don't laugh much in my old age." She apologized with a sheepish grin.
Suddenly, the room began to shake, making Brad afraid of something coming to get him.
"Oh-ohh! They come! Now the spirits come! Come, spirits of power and sight! Show me the awful things occurring here tonight!" Trixie began to speak as her hands mystically hovered over her crystal ball and her eyes rolled into the back of her head...somehow.
"That's not ominous..." Brad sarcastically said through chattering teeth.
"Crystal orb, symbol of my clan, use your darkling power to show us all you could! I mean, CAN! Show us all that you can!" The bat girl's voice echoed through the room.
"Hopefully, I don't get possessed from this." Our long earred friend nervously gulped.
"Show us this...Dave!!!" Trixie babbled on. "Ahhh, the light of the spirits come to me! Show us what they seek!" Purple flames then ignited in the fortune teller's gloved hands. "Ohhhhhh...harummm...I see that your brother lives as well as your sister."
Brad let out a huge sigh of relief and placed a hand over his heart.
"So those two ghosts haven't eaten them yet? THANK THE CREATOR ABOVE!!!" Brad exclaimed.
"Well, they are not in the spirit world...but one cannot say that they are alive either! Haackth ha ha hork!!!" Madame Trixie tried to laugh again, but went into another coughing fit like she hadn't spoken in decades.
Brad looked fear-struck upon hearing those words.
"What...what does that even mean?! I saw them alive inside a painting!" He input, waving his hands around.
For some reason, Madame Trixie seemed to ignore him as she continued to speak.
"Where are they? Where are they now? ...Drat, the spirits have fallen silent! This is all I can tell you for now...unless you bring me more items. Seek out another clue, and I shall show your siblings and friends to you. This clue no longer speaks to us." She informed him.
Quickly, Brad held out Rachel's pearl necklace to ghost, who then snatched it out of his hands, staring at it in complete awe and wonder.
"Well, if it isn't Rachel Watson's pearl necklace! The value for it must be through the roof!"
Our rabbit friend nodded, knowing very well how much it was worth when she bought it back in the 90's. Just then, the room shook once more.
"Ah! They come once more!!!" Trixie spoke as she began to gaze back into her crystal ball.
To make a long chapter a bit shorter, the fortune teller basically told Brad information he already knew at this point, but he still listened because he had a gut feeling he would be able to use the Spirit Sucker 5000 on Madame Trixie very soon. Pretty neat, right? So, I'll do you readers a favor and skip over to her examining the letter Brad found back in the Courtyard.
"Wha-what is this?" She squawked in disbelief. "Is that...is that Brett and Prescott?!"
This definitely shocked Brad to his core.
"What? Brett and Prescott?! What about them? They can't be here!!!" Brad exclaimed while shaking.
"How can this be?! I see the hideous forms of the evil fox and wolf duo! Could they be somewhere in this mansion? I don't believe it...and yet, I see it...I thought you and your fellow colleagues had soundly defeated Brett and Prescott!" The fortune teller blubbered.
"We did! So how could this be possible?" Brad squeaked.
"Could it be that...the two Gremlin Spirit Kings have revived those two? This is terrible news!...for you, of course."
"HEY!!!" Brad pouted.
"Blast!!! The spirits have left once more, and my powers leave me!!!" Madame Trixie announced through a deep sigh, her hands falling onto her lap. "This is all I can show you, Brad...for that was the last of my power...But I have given words to what the spirits have shown me...So I can return to my painting satisfied."
"Really?" Brad said, tilting his head.
"Yes. Send me there now, you long earred, vacuum wielding rogue! Ahhhhhhhh! I can finally return to my painting in peace...sweet happiness in oils." She peacefully sighed.
"Madame Trixie..." Brad began, almost not wanting to vacuum her up since she was a great help to him...well, somewhat.
"I thank you...I thank you, Brad, you kind rabbit with a heart of gold!!!" She said with a smile on her face.
Brad returned it before stunning her with his flashlight and began the process once again. When that was said and done, he wiped some sweat off his forehead and picked up the pearls that fell onto the floor.
"Boy, for a ghost that actually wanted to go back to their painting, she did put up one heck of a fight!" He remarked, shaking his head. "Now then, to find that Gremlin."
Upon checking every inch of the room, it soon came out, flying into the middle of the room.
"Hi, I'm Brad the Unlucky Gremlin!!!" It cackled, wriggling its arms about.
Brad's eyes grew huge upon hearing that.
"Ok, I wasn't expecting that, Mr. Writer!!!"
He easily got rid of the floating pest, sending it and the data over to Professor Nicole before opening the chest and pulling out another key.
"Let's see, this one goes to...the Safari Room. Looks like I'm headed there now." Brad said as he went for the door.
He reached for the doorknob, but stopped and turned around to take one last look at this room. He closed his eyes and smiled, whispering:
"Thank you, Madame Trixie. I really do appreciate all your help."
He then began his trek to find where the Safari Room was.
