The day of the ball arrived and the demon slayers and outside guests held it's breath in anticipation.

In the room of the step siblings, Tanjiro was ordered to help with the step siblings Kimono and haoris and preparing them to get ready for the ball tonight.

"you want me to be your husband?" Yahaba said, speaking into the mirror.

"Oh brother." Susamaru said.

"A vision sister?" Yahaba said.

"likewise, we must be the fairest of them all people not to mention maybe even find someone to marry!" Susamaru stated.

"Well let it not mean we harbored dark thoughts against each other?" Yahaba asked his sister.

"Of course not dear brother of mine! I wouldn't dream of you poisoning you before we leave for the ball."

"Oh, nor I tearing your flesh out on the way there, sister."

"Or I ripping your brains out on the ball steps as we arrived." Susamaru said "we are siblings after all, and blood is so much thicker than water."

"We shall let the people deiced." Yahaba said.

"What would they be like, I wonder?" Tanjiro questioned.

Yahaba just laughed it off "what does it matter what they're  like, they live beyond reason."

"Many would like to know them, and wouldn't you two be nervous to meet one of them?" Tanjiro said

"Suddenly not, it might change my mind." Yahaba said.

"I bet you have never ever spoken to one of them, have you, CindeTanjiro?" Susamaru asked.

"I have once, to a slayer." Tanjiro said in responds

Yahaba just laughed. "some probably, a mean one, no doubt, an apprentice?"

"He was an apprentice, yes." Tanjiro said.

"They all must be fools, that's what father says" Susamaru said. "the sooner you learn that, the better."

The stepsiblinga started playing around a bit, as Tanjiro left the room.

Not for the first time Tanjiro actually felt pity for the two step siblings.

Tanjiro headed upstairs towards the attic, realized he didn't have enough time, to make his Kimono or Haori so the decision was final, he deiced not to go 'oh well, it doesn't matter anyways, plus I bet a ball would be so boring' he thought to himself as he looked out the window of the attic 'oh but it would be so wonderful plus to meet Giyuu-san again' he thought again, but he didn't know that behind him there were birds opening the door to his closet, only to find the Kimono and Haori fully finished from the designed of the book, as a single candle made more light to see it better...

"Why it's my-?!" Tanjiro said in shocked.

"SURPRISE! SURPRISE!" all of the birds chirped out.

"Mmphm!!" Nezuko muffled through the bamboo muzzle.

Tanjiro held the Kimono and Haori in his arms. "Oh How could I ever thank you, all!" speechless Tanjiro was.

"No problem! it was all Nezuko's idea!" Chirped the sparrow.

"Hhmm!!" Nezuko muffled happy seeing her brother smile.

"Thank you, Nezuko!! all of you!"

He gave them all a big hug, able to go to the get together was a huge thing for Tanjiro and being able to see Giyuu.

A few hours later...

Muzan was already dressed, he was already at the front door waiting for his children. Both demon siblings appeared in thier Kimonos all set.

"My dear children." Muzan said in amazement and smiling. "To see you like this, it makes me believe one of you might just be the head of everybody, and to think I have to horses in the race, I dare say no one else in the town will outstand, my children." Smiling he turned his back and saw Tanjiro walking down the stairs with a Kimono and Haori on.

"CinderTanjiro?" Muzan muttered.

"It caused you nothing, it was my father's old Kimono, you see." Tanjiro said, reaching the end of the stairs.

"Oh wow, CindTanjiro at the ball, no one wants a servant boy, for a somebody." said Yahaba, laughing.

"After all I done-" Muzan stated.

"I don't want to ruin anything, I don't even want to meet them." Tanjiro said trying to make it easier.

"Oh and you won't, cause there's no question if your going." Muzan said.

"But all of the servants and friends of the slayers are going and made sure to keep secret." Tanjiro reminded.

"It is the people, I'm thinking of, it would be an insult for the head personage to take you to the mansion, dressed in these old rags." Muzan said.

"Rags?" Tanjiro said "This was my father's."

"Oh" Muzan started.

Muzan and his children walked up to Tanjiro slowly.

"Sorry to have to tell you, but your father's taste was questionable, this thing is so old fashioned, it's predictably falling to pieces." Muzan said as he suddenly pulled on Tanjiro's Kimono sleeve, and ripping it.

Tanjiro gasped in shocked.

Nezuko and the birds saw the whole thing upstairs in shock.

"Why you!" Flip chirped in whisper about to attack Muzan but was held back by Nezuko.

"It's utterly falling." Muzan said, ripping the other sleeve.

"And this!" Susamaru exclaimed ripping the collar.

"please stop!" Tanjiro begged.

"and this!" Yahaba said, ripping the edge of the  Haori "It's a ridiculous old fashioned joke!" Yelling at Tanjiro

Muzan let out an evil chuckle.

"how could you..." Tanjiro said in  sorrow.

"How could I otherwise, I will not let anyone associate my children with you! It will ruin their prospect to be seen around with a raged servant boy!" Muzan exclaimed in a strict tone. "Because that's what you are, and that's what you'll always be! Now Mark My Words! You shall not go to the ball!" He scolded.

And with that, Muzan left with his children, as Tanjiro stood there in front of the door with a ripped mess.

At this point, Tanjiro was stressed out, upset and, was filled with sadness. He ran through the back door, and ran into the the garden as he fell into a near by stone bench, and cried there, all he could do was just cry.

"I'm sorry, father." Tanjiro sobbed. "I'm sorry, I said I had courage...but I don't, not anymore!"

Nezuko slowly walked up to his side along with the rest of the animals by his side, conferring him as he sobbed.
