Once the time had past, a proclamation was sent out, by the messangers crows.

Tanjiro was currently with his friends Zenitsu and Inosuke and one of the demon slayer crows landed in an ally way.

"Cow! Cow! Know that our Hashira Tomioka here announces! Who ever fit's the glass shoe that was found at the ball during the night of the ball he will forth with. . . marry him! Cow!"

Tanjiro knew that he had the other glass shoe, so without hesitation, he ran back home as fast as possible and quickly ran upstairs to the attic.

He closed the door behind him, bent down and removed the two wooded planks from the floor only to find the glass shoe was not in the box.

Tanjiro was so confused, until...

"Are you looking for this?" A voice said.

Tanjiro looked up and saw that it was Muzan who stood in the shadows of the attic with his glass shoe in his hand.

"Must be quite a story to go with it." Muzan said admiring the glass shoe in the shadows. "Won't you tell me?"

Tanjiro stood in shock, without saying a word.

"No? alright then, I shall tell you a story. . ." Muzan said. "Once upon a time, there was a handsome young man, who was married beloved and had two children. All was well... But one day his wife, the light of his life, died." his smirk, faded into a strict face. "The next time he married for the sake of his two children, but that woman too was taken from him and he was doomed to look everyday upon his beloved children."

Tanjiro listened to Muzan's story while still in shock as Muzan continued.

"He had hope to marry off one of his handsome, beautiful, stupid, Children, to the a Hashira. But his head was turned by a boy with glass shoes...and so I live unhappily ever after... nice story would it appear to be ended?" Muzan asked Tanjiro looking at him strictly "Now...tell me yours... Did you steal it!?"

Tanjiro shock his head no. "No... It was given to me."

"Given to you nothing is ever given for everything you must pay, pay!" Muzan replied, scolding.

"That's not true!" Tanjiro answered. "Kindness is free, love is free!"

"Love is not free!" Muzan said as he walked towards him. "Now...here is how you will pay me. If you were to have what you desire, no one will believe you, a dirty servant boy without a family, if you lay claim to the Hashira's heart but with a respectable gentlemen don't you forward you will not be ignored... When you are married you will make me the head of the corps household, Susamaru and Yabaha we will pair off with wealthy slayers and I shall manage that man." Muzan explained, slowly walked towards him.

"He's not a man." Tanjiro replied.

"And who are you...how would you rule a corps? That's to leave it to me that way we get what we all want." Muzan said as he walked towards the door with the glass shoe in his hands.

Tanjiro thought about it for a moment before...

"No." He replied.

Muzan stopped dead in his track as he slowly turned and looked at him.

"No?" Muzan questioned to him.

"I was not able to protect my mother and sister from you, but I will protect Giyuu and the corps, no matter what becomes of me." Tanjiro responded.

"Well, that is a mistake." Muzan said. He swiftly smashed the glass shoe against the hard wall and broke into a million pieces.

"NO!" Tanjiro exclaimed in shock "Why...why are you so cural?!" He asked in sorrow "I don't understand it, I've tried to be kind to you!"

"You? kind to me?" Muzan scolded.

"Yes!" Tanjiro said back. "And no one deserves to be treated as you have treated me. Why do you do it?, Why!" He asked, shouting.

"Why?" Muzan started. "Because, you are young and innocent and good! And I!..."

Muzan couldn't finish his last sentence. He swiftly opened the door and quickly locked the door from the outside.

Tanjiro rushed towards the door...

"No! NO!" Tanjiro exclaimed, banging against the door.

but It was to late, he was locked inside the attic.

"Master Tomioka, we still don't have any idea were your mysteries boy could be?" the Mizunoto said. "The only clue we have is his glass shoe that he left."

"There must be some reason he vanished, perhaps he has been prevented from speaking." Giyuu stated, stopping mid step.

"Don't lose heart, Tomioka-san." Obanai said.

"Then let us be curtain, I am the water Hashira, I say we shall seek out the mysteries boy, even if he does not want to be be found, I need to see him again!" Giyuu stated.

"And if he's not found?" the Captain of the Mizunoto asked.

Giyuu sat on a bench in silence, he really wanted to see him again, he felt like he could never live without him, even if he could never feel the same feeling like he did for him in the future.

"Very well. Only the future will tell. I will go with you, to seek him." Giyuu he stood up.

"I'm afraid, we can't allow that your Master Giyuu! The public with differ people will question why you have a sword! Me an the rest of the Mizunoto shall seek him down." The Mizunoto said.

Giyuu sighed. "Very well."

the Captain left the room.

"They will do everything they can, to find him for you, Tomioka." Obanai said.

"Thank you, Obanai. You've have always been good to me." Giyuu replied.
