"Is he really alright? When is he going to wake up?" asked a voice he had heard before.
"I don't know, it can be at any minute now. He...'survived' the encounter and is stable," said a sweeter voice.
It was all darkness, all a daze for him. He felt like he didn't have the strength to open his eyes and he honestly did not know if he wanted to open them. He was afraid to know if he really had fallen into an abyss. For some reason, he felt like nothing, as if his body had lost all of his weight and he was cold, like he never was before. He was a snowflake falling from a dark cloud to a never-ending pit.
"Poor boy..." A hand, warmer than him, was placed on his arm and he suddenly gasped, startled and finally opened his eyes to only be blinded by intense light. "Oh, he woke up! Quick, Ravi, dim the lights!"
He covered his face with his hands. His body felt light as he never had felt before, somehow it seemed to him that his head was carrying all the weight. That is how heavy and painful his head felt.
"You must be feeling pretty terrible, right? Here, drink this," the soft voice said, handing him a glass of a red liquid.
Raed shook his head and rubbed his eyes. It was only then that he was able to see what was taking place around him. He was in a lab lying on a pink stretcher and over him he had a soft pink blanket. The walls around were pink and so were the counters. There were a lot of lab tools and they were all being used for some purpose. As a matter of fact, everything was extremely neat and organized. The two people in there were the ones who seemed all over the place. He could see concern in their eyes and nervousness in their expressions, as they looked intensely at him. There was a boy and a girl, who looked pretty young, just about his age. The guy had black hair and gold honey eyes and was wearing a complete denim set with moons all over it. As for the girl, she had peach hair which was not very long and had a braid on it. Her cheeks were rosy and so were her lips and her eyes were green-blue, an aquamarine tone. She was wearing a white shirt with bunnies and their tails were a small pompom, which he found adorable. But the most striking thing about her was a crystal heart medallion hanging from her neck. It seemed alive, even magical, he couldn't help but be drawn to it. She leaned her head to meet his eyes to check if he was alright. He shook his head and looked at those two strangers. Both were beyond beautiful, almost ethereal, unlike the girls from before, who were enticing in a dangerous kind of way.
"The girls from before! Where is my brother?!" he remembered in panic.
"Your brother? I only saw you with... that girl," the boy replied with visible disdain.
"I must call him! Where is my phone?" Raed said in a frenzy, while feeling up his pockets.
"Oh, I put it here," said the girl, picking his phone from the counter nearby.
"Oh, thank you," Raed replied, while trying to call his brother. The boy and the girl exchanged concerned looks. "Pick up, pick up, pick up... Oh! You picked up! Are you ok?! Where are you?!"
"THAT IS WHAT I ASK! I'VE BEEN CALLING YOU FOR HOURS! DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I'VE SEARCHING FOR YOU?! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!" everyone in the room heard Rael scream and the phone was not even on speaker mode.
"I'm fine. Oh... Actually, I'm not sure where I am right now," Raed looked at them, hoping they would provide him with that information, but they didn't say anything. "Well, anyway, I'm fine, you can go home. We'll talk later."
"But..." Rael was saying, but Raed hung up on him.
"Yeah, we have a lot to talk about," said the boy.
