Raed was lying on Ravi's large bed, in the dark. He was browsing on his phone the infamous 'Vamp's Journal', wondering if any other massacre had taken place, but there was nothing new, only what he already knew. 'MASSACRE IN EUSTON: 267 humans killed by a hungry beast' was written in bold letters. He couldn't believe that so many colleagues of his were gone and to think the culprits could be people who they thought were their friends made it even more horrifying.
"Ravi, listen to this. 'New Vampires are suspects of the massacre that took place during the final exams in Euston High. Victims were drained from blood and even had meat ripped off of them. The people responsible for the turning of new vampires and leaving them unattended are still to be confirmed, although members of the Dracul clan are suspected'. Can you believe this? Of course, it's the Dracul clan! Who else could it be?" Raed said, after reading the article.
"I don't know. They just say that to not be sued," Ravi replied, trying to sleep on his side.
"Sued? It's not like there is a justice system among vampires, so why would they worry about that?" Raed asked.
"Yes, there is. The Supreme Court used to be here actually, but then it moved to an island in the North Sea centuries ago," Ravi explained.
"Really? I thought vampires just solved everything by... killing each other, I don't know," Raed said.
"It usually is like that. It just exists so vampires can feel they are still civilized beings. Now, go to sleep," Ravi ordered.
"I can't. Do you think Draven will recover before something else happens?" Raed asked.
"Oh my God... We really have to get another guest room ready," Ravi complained dryly, but on the point of getting desperate for sleep.
"What do you mean another guest room? You already have one?"
"Well, yes, but we were saving it for Draven," Ravi said.
"What?!" Raed exclaimed. "What about me?!"
"What about you? The guy was in a dungeon! And he is going through an overdose of... a product of ours! It's the least we can do, don't you think?!" Ravi argued.
"Fine! But next time I'm staying there!" Raed stated.
"Obviously, or do you think I like to share my bed with a guy? God..."
"Well, I don't know what you're into, but I also don't judge," Raed said.
Ravi turned around just to glare at him. "Sleep, before I kick you off bed."
Raed did feel tired physically, but his brain did not agree with the body. He still texted Joshua again, as he couldn't help but feel intrigued about what happened to him and his gang. He never liked them, but couldn't help but feel sorry for Joshua at least. He clearly had ambitions for the future and now they were all in jeopardy, just like Raed's were. During the next week, the exams' results would be revealed and at the end of the week it would be Graduation Day. Usually, people invited their family to it, but now he didn't have any. He ended up falling asleep while feeling sorry for himself and wondering if his family's life improved or got worse because of his absence. When he woke up, Ravi wasn't there anymore. He looked at his phone and it was 8PM and he didn't have any messages from anyone, which made him upset. He was still hoping that Joshua would reply or maybe even his brother, but no. Raed walked downstairs with the pajama Ravi lent him, which were the same t-shirt and sweat pants from the other time when he slept there. Everyone was in the living room watching TV attentively. Raed didn't even know they had a TV, but apparently theirs could be hidden in a slot in the ceiling.
