They walked through a dark and long corridor for about twenty minutes and were starting to grow a bit impatient. They weren't invisible anymore, there was no need for that. They didn't bring any flashlights, as they thought they wouldn't need it, since they could see perfectly in the dark. However, they still turned on the flashlights on their phones, as being in there in complete darkness creeped them out a bit.
"Couldn't we just go over the mountains? Is this really the only way to access the Umbra clan?" Raed asked.
"I'm sure there are other entrances, but I have no idea where they are," Ravi replied and looked at Rosaline.
"Don't look at me. It's been more than five hundred years since I left the Umbra clan," Rosaline said.
"It doesn't matter. If I remember correctly, the prison is between the two nests and this tunnel was the only way to access it," Regia informed.
"Oh, so we don't need to go over to Umbra's place?" Raed asked.
"Not if Draven is in this prison. Why? You sound disappointed," Regia noticed.
"I just... would like to know them a bit better," Raed confessed.
"And you think now is the right time to wine and dine with someone?" Ravi retorted.
"It could be an ice breaker in the future, you know," Raed replied and Ravi just stared at him.
"Oh..." Rosaline suddenly gasped. "Oh!"
"What is it?" Raed asked, but he quickly realized he was the only one confused. The three older vampires were exchanging looks with wide eyes and Raed could tell they felt perplexed. "What's going on with you guys?"
"There are a lot of people dying nearby," Rosaline replied.
"A lot of people? But... above here is just a forest. I don't think no one lives in this area," Raed said.
"Yes, but Rosaline is right. I can feel it too," Ravi said.
"Must be from the prison. There must be humans imprisoned there and they are killing them," Regia theorized.
Just a bit further, they started to see a light. As they got closer, they could hear that banshee inside their heads scream louder and louder and wouldn't stop. It was quite painful. They finally arrived at a balcony which had an overview of what was happening on the floor below and they were appalled and speechless. They didn't say anything for an entire minute, as they didn't know what to say, they couldn't even turn around their heads. It was as if their eyes were glued to the scene they were watching.
"Well... We knew that Sephtis made a business by selling human blood and meat, but I did not expect this," Ravi said.
Rosaline covered her mouth in shock. "How can this be? Do you think Draven knows about this?"
"Isn't he the Dracul's heir?" Ravi said and Rosaline glanced at him dispirited.
Across them, it was written in big bold letters 'Dracul's Farm'. There, humans were kept as cattle in tiny cages. All of the victims were completely naked and were forced to walk on all fours to further degrade them and make them remember their place. The smell was so putrid, they had to cover their noses. They understood why the guards there had to wear masks. The guards were also equipped with a whip to correct misbehaving people. Females were separated from males with iron bars and they fed on recipients, which were filled with a food mixture that resembled dog food. Others were taken and were pricked by needles, so their blood could be extracted. The only place where females and males were put together was in the breeding area, where they were forced to procreate as a means to make babies for their use. Then, there was the butcher area and that was the reason why they heard screams in their heads. Humans would be killed, ripped apart and their meat would be put in packages for clients.
