"Was it really a dream?" Raed thought to himself.
He didn't want to bother Roesia anymore, as she had a lot of work to do and already spared enough of her time for him and his studies. So, instead, he knocked on Regia's office door. She allowed him to come in, but he had a feeling he was interrupting something important, as Rosaline and Lani were also there having a reunion. They were very focused on watching something on the computer.
"Raed, just five minutes," Regia said to him dismissive, and since the two chairs were occupied, he leaned on a corner. "Ugh, this collection is terrible. This is honestly not for me," concluded Regia, after finishing watching the latest 'haute couture' show on the computer.
"What about last season? It's going downhill. I... don't even know what is happening..." said Rosaline.
"I get that their target audience is rich old women and sure we are also technically... old or whatever, but like we are hip," Regia said. Rosaline nodded, but Lani cringed a bit at the term 'hip'.
"I mean... yes, but at least Gaultier and Balenciaga did a good job," Lani added.
"Yah, sure. Still, I have no idea what to wear this year at the Gala," Regia confessed.
"Really? I have some ideas," Lani said.
"I guess we can always wear vintage," said Rosaline. Regia sighed and shrugged, disappointed.
"Anyway, what do you want, Raed?" Regia asked.
"I just..." Raed was saying before getting interrupted.
"You know what? I'm sick of human designers. Some seemed to have forgotten what 'haute couture' means. We should start our own line," Lani stated.
"Lani, none of us has any experience with design whatsoever. A thousand years ago, all girls were taught how to sew and even that I forgot how to do," Regia replied.
"We can learn! We can take another degree!" exclaimed Lani, really excited about the idea.
"Ugh... I don't want to study anymore!" Regia whined.
"Fine, I'll take the degree and you finance my future endeavors," Lani said.
"Maybe we could all go to university again. It may be fun!" Rosaline said.
Regia glared at her. "Fun?! Aren't you forgetting about exams and studying and having to work with people? It's shit."
"I guess... I'll come back another time," Raed was pretty sure they didn't even realize he was gone.
Their discussion seemed to be quite heated, so it would probably last for a while. Instead, he went to visit Draven in his room. He seemed a lot better, at least he didn't look like a complete zombie crackhead. Raed never took Memoria, so he did not know what it was like to be under its effects. Still, he didn't understand the need for Draven to take it, as in Raed's eyes his life was pretty good. He was rich, handsome, was loved by the one he loved. What more could he ask for?
"I have to return home. Sooner or later, they are going to realize I'm missing and it's not going to be pretty bad," said Draven, lying in bed.
"Yeah, Tristan actually called. He said he was going to try to cover for us, but who knows? It could be some sort of setup," Raed said.
"No, Tristan wouldn't do that. He is not petty," said Draven.
"Really? He kinda looks like it," Raed retorted and Draven stared at him for a moment.
"I think you have been hanging up with Regia and Ravi an awful lot. The sassiness is getting to you," Draven said.
