THE NEXT FEW days of school went by faster than usual, Gwen was excited for the Washington trip, and had been leaving her patrol early in order to have quick revision sessions. She wanted to win this, and she wanted a break from her duties, time to be a teenager again. Though, she still managed to convince herself to pack her suit. Obviously, she'd miss hanging with Gloria, but she'd be able to spend more time with MJ and even Peter and Ned if they decided to go.

Gwen walked to the school bus, putting a yellow blazer on over her jeans and tank top. She had a small suitcase packed with all her necessities for a singular night. After they won, they'd need to embark on some sightseeing around Washington DC.

"MJ." Gwen greeted the brunette, who simply turned her head and invited her to continue. "Do you have a roommate yet?" She asked.

"I can't say I do." Michelle answered. "Why? Are you planning on depriving me of solitude?" She finished.

"Actually, yes." Gwen replied.

"Ok." MJ added, being a woman of very few words if unnecessary. Casually, she went back to reading her book and Gwen set up her music for the journey, putting on her headphones.

"Hey it's Peter." Abraham alerted the group.

"Peter?" Liz added in confusion. Gwen was also confused, but then again, he did want to make it up to Liz. Little did she know that his reasoning was far different to her assumption.

"Yeah, I was hoping maybe I could rejoin the team?" Peter stuttered.

"No, no way. You can't quit on us, stroll up and be welcomed back by everyone." Flash disagreed, but was soon countered by the teacher.

"Hey, welcome back Peter! Flash, you're back to first alternate." Mr Harrington informed.

"What?" Flash asked.

"He's taking your place." Abraham laughed.

"Wow, I kinda expected that conversation to last longer." Gwen muttered to MJ.

"Still took up time." MJ said. "Excuse me, can we go already? Because I was hoping to get in some light protesting in front of an embassy before dinner." The teen continued, informing Mr Harrison of her urgency.

"Protesting is patriotic. Let's get on the bus." The educator stated as Flash threw his yellow blazer at Peter.

Gwen quickly claimed her seat towards the back of the bus in hopes of avoiding some of Liz's questions. All she wanted to do was listen to music, instead of being quizzed for a solid 4 hours. However, Liz Allan was a force to be reckoned with.
