WHEN GWEN FINALLY arrived back at the hotel, she was knocked back by her current theory. Spider-man was in Washington, so was Peter Parker. Peter went missing while Spider-Man was around. He called Gwen and warned her about the chitauri weapon, the only person she knew with that were the dealers and Spider-Man. It wasn't a coincidence. Peter Parker was Spider-Man.

Gwen didn't know what to do, say, or even think. If she was upfront about her discovery, Peter could figure her identity out too. He could probably already guess based on the fact Ghost-Spider also took a random trip to Washington. Now that Gwen thought more about it, Spider-Man didn't mask his voice around her, so it was no wonder she found it familiar. For the time being, Gwen decided it was best that she waited until she was certain of the fact he was Spider-Man, even now, she didn't want to believe it.

"Where did you disappear to when all hell broke loose?" MJ interrogated when they were in the room.

"I freaked out, called my dad." She lied.

"Wasn't it weird that Ghost-Spider and Spider-Man were at Washington today? I mean, they're usually in New York, so what made them travel 4 hours out?" Michelle continued to ask, demonstrating her suspicion towards Gwen.

"If they didn't show up, who knows what would've happened." Gwen stated. "This is why I'm freaking terrified of elevators, but no one else listened to my reasoning." MJ hummed in response, still not faltering her gaze from her book.

Just then, a knock came from the other side of the door, and Gwen answered since she was closest. It was Peter, he didn't look nervous or worried, he did however, look relieved. "Mr Harrington said we're leaving early, everyone's parents have been ringing the school like crazy." Peter informed. "Listen, can I talk to you?" Peter then asked, looking slightly more concerned. Gwen instantly jumped to the worst conclusions, but quickly regained her composure.

"Sure." She said, following him out their room for some privacy. But she didn't expect to be led into Peter and Ned's room, if she was brutally honest, she didn't want to go in there, especially after what Ned had told her last night.

Gwen grew tired of their silence and whispering, so she jumped straight to the point. "Spill it already, the suspense is killing me." She said sarcastically, but forcing both boys to give her a brief explanation.

"Please don't tell anyone that I called you today, about the bomb." Peter begged.

"It was an accident, and it was stable until we went through the x-rays." Ned added, Gwen soon gathered than he also knew Peter was Spider-Man.

"Do you realise how stupid that was." Gwen scolded them both. "You carried a bomb around with you on a school trip, you're lucky I haven't told anyone." She whisper shouted, just in case the walls were thinner than anticipated.

"I didn't know it was a bomb until it went kaboom." Ned argued.

"Where the hell did you even get that thing?" Gwen asked, realising Ned looked towards Peter for answers.

"I found it."

"Where?"

"Near Liz's house, after the party." He answered, shedding some of the truth. However, Gwen already knew the real story. "Listen, please don't tell anyone, Gwen. I promise nothing like this will ever happen again, I swear." He added.

Gwen thought for a moment, she'd already made up her mind but she still needed to make her act believable. "Don't make me regret this." She replied. "But I just don't get it, where the hell were you?" Gwen asked. "And don't give me that bullshit excuse you got lost."

"But I really did get lost." Peter reasoned.

"Idiot." Gwen muttered, slightly reminding Peter of one of his encounters with Ghost-Spider, but he pushed the thought away. "You owe me a favour by the way, both of you. I'll hold you to it." She demanded as she left their room and walked back to her own. Leaving both the boys grateful and relieved she'd gone along with their request.
