Disclaimer: There may or may not be a few spelling and grammatical mistakes but I hope you can get past that. It's not like you're gonna go hunt down some of these mistakes in this story right? Anyways, if there are things you noticed I could improve on then please feel free to leave a comment or not. After all, this is my first story so I expect a few things. That's it for this. Hope You Enjoy!
Zero Griswold, a name that strikes fear in many. He once had the world at the palm of his hand. Controlling everything, and determining whether your life's worth living. A tyrant.
"Well, Zero Griswold no longer exists. In fact, it has been about 600 years since his sudden disappearance. Many speculate that he was betrayed by one of his subordinates. Well, one thing is for sure, he definitely made it to children's history books. But here is what I know for sure, his subordinates will never betray him. And that's because they all respect and admire him. How do I know? Well, it's simple, because I was there. I was there with him as we fought the cruelty of the old world. I don't expect you to believe me kids, but I'm actually 600 years old."
"When are we going to play outside, teacher?"
Sigh, not listening again I see. Why are kids like this?
"All right everyone, line up by the door so we can go outside to play"
Announcement: This is the author speaking to the reader. I have decided to completely rewrite the story. Yes, reader. The entire story. The rewrite is still a work in progress. The reasons for the rewrite are as follows: 1. I didn't particularly appreciate where the story was heading. 2. I found it lacking.I will still keep the original story as a way to compare the old to the rewrite. If you still wish to continue reading this one then please do so. Just keep in mind that it will be a different story(with a few similarities) after the prologue. Well, I hope you have a good day dear reader.
Prologue
A New World?
I woke up this morning and checked my phone, no new messages I guess. What was I expecting anyways, it's not like I have plenty of friends to talk around. I went to take a shower, eat breakfast and went back up to brush my teeth. I waited for the bus for about five minutes and got to school around 8 am. I usually wait outside for a bit, but it was very cold outside so I decided to not stick around and headed to my first block class.
My friends didn't go to school since it was the end of the semester. There's really not much to do other than go on our phones and kill time. The second block started which was Phys. Ed, few people attended which was expected. Today we were given free time since we can't really make teams with the number of people we have. The people that attended were mostly the non-athletic kids so even if we do make teams and play a game, it would just end up being a boring one.
The second block ended and lunch started. I started heading to the music room since that's where my friends and I eat. While I was heading there, I noticed this white long haired girl walking up to me. But I paid no attention since behind her was a classmate I know. I walked past her and gave a wave to my friend.
"Yoooo Lucas, how's life? I wasn't expecting you to attend school today."
"Yeaaaa, as much as I want to skip, I don't think my parents would let me." I said, trying to act friendly as possible.
"Well sucks for you, the only reason I came to school today is to go out with my GF. Well, see ya next semester."
"See ya."
Tsk, being in a relationship is just a distraction. Something that will keep you from achieving your goal. Being single is the best. Not having to spend money and waste time on someone that is not guaranteed to be yours is just pointless.
