Part 1: Chapter 3.1(Old)

I finished all the extra work I was given. To my surprise, I managed to finish it earlier than I expected so by the time I got out of the library it was already evening. Tina was still in the library doing the extra work she was given, as for me, I was freed. Maria went out of the library a couple of times when she was teaching us so she was pretty busy herself. I mean she's always busy but she's extra busy today. Being the head maid of the manor sure is a pain. Having to teach two people and also doing other maidly work sounds too much for me to handle. Well, it's her problem, not mine.

I decided that I would stop by the kitchen to ask the chef for some snacks. As I was heading to the kitchen, I passed by a balcony. There are many balconies in this manor, most of which are by rooms. But there was one balcony that was by the hallway, and that's where I was. As I was passing the balcony, I was able to see the stars and the full moon. It was beautiful. In my previous life, I barely had the time to appreciate it and when I did get the chance, I was always reminded of my life problems. But now I'll be able to appreciate it here as I currently don't have any problems. I think.

As I kept my eyes on the stars, I wasn't able to hear or see where I was heading and so "bump". I lost my balance and immediately leaned forward so my butt would take all the damage. "Gah," I yelped as soon as I hit the floor. Soon after I fell, I heard another yelp.

I paid so much attention to the stars that I didn't even notice someone was coming. I looked to see who it was to give them a good scare with my nobility position. I was about to imagine what reaction the maid would get but to my surprise, it wasn't a maid. She had long white hair shimmering as the nightlights hit her hair. Not to mention she really looks cute. As she looked at me, I slowly saw her ocean-blue eyes reflecting me. As soon as our eyes met, she immediately looked away and tucked her knees towards her and wrapped her hands around them.

My eyes were fixated on her so I guess she got uncomfortable. Even I would get uncomfortable if some random stranger suddenly stared at me. I decided to get up and clean my butt. As I started to walk towards her, my eyes were still fixated on her. It was because she was wearing white pyjamas that were coming off the side, showing off her radiant skin. I snapped back to reality realizing what I was just doing and averted my eyes. I must stay focused, I MUST stay focused.

I stopped walking right in front of her and held out my hand.

"Are you alright? I'm sorry for what happened just now, I wasn't paying attention." I said with a smile, trying to act cool.

She continued to look away but bit by bit, I was able to see her blushing. Is she blushing because of what I'm doing? Was it that embarrassing? A few seconds passed and my hands started to tremble. I could feel my body sweating out of my embarrassment. I look like an idiot waiting for this girl to take my hand. Is she ever going to take it? Was there something wrong with taking my hand? Why is she not saying anything? Dammit, this was too embarrassing for me to bear.

I was about to pull my hands and pretend that nothing happened. But all of a sudden, she decided to take it now. What the hell took her so long? I pulled her up and realized that my hands were sweaty. I immediately let go of her hand and wiped my hand on my shirt. I was gonna say something but I decided not to as too many embarrassing things have happened and I didn't want to add more.

"Thank you." She said quietly as she fixed her pyjamas. She was still looking away and was still blushing. I started to stare at her again wondering what exactly is going on inside her head at this moment. Then all of a sudden, she turned around and ran away. Heh? I was going to ask who she was and what she was doing in the manor. I'm already mentally tired from all the work I did in the library so I decided to not chase her. Plus, I got the feeling that she's going to be here tomorrow so I'm just gonna wait until then.

I continued to head to the kitchen for the snacks. I decided to hit the bed as soon as I finished eating the snacks that I will receive from our awesome chef. I was happy that Tina and I don't have lectures tomorrow. Good thing Maria is extra busy. That means I'm a free man tomorrow.
