Dreams and Suddenness
"Zero... wake up..."
Hm?
"Wake up dammit..."
Tsk.
"Stop shaking me already. You're quite violent today Tina." I said as my eyes adjusted to the dim light.
"Tina? We don't have time for this."
*slap
"Sistine! Did you just slap the lord..."
Sistine? What the hell is happening? Where am I?
"I'm awake, I'm awake..."I said before taking a look around. I wasn't in my room nor was I anywhere in the Walts manor. The storm blocked out the sun and the pouring of the rain made it unable to see what was beyond the entrance of the cave. Am I...inside a cave? The air was filled with grief. There I sat trying to get a grasp of the situation in a matter of seconds but I was unable to do so. Within my field of vision, there lie 4 people that wore dark cloaks. 1 man and 1 woman stood by the entrance of the cave. While the other two were right next to me. Worried. One of them reminded me of Sistine but was...more mature.
What is this? Where am I?
"Zero... I'm sensing multiple servants of control getting close to us. I suggest that we move fast." Said the woman standing close to the entrance of the cave.
Zero? Is he referring to me?
"Zero! Snap out of it. We need you here. Are we fighting or what?" The woman that looked like Sistine said.
My thoughts and body gave me the impression that I have experienced many things. I felt mature. I felt responsible. I felt the need to be a leader despite not knowing what was happening. I calmed myself and thought logically. First I needed to handle the current situation. I do not know anyone's capabilities so running would be the best option.
"I suggest that we leave and run away," I said with uncertainty.
"Suggest? We could take them down right now and we won't have to deal with them later," The man near the entrance said with dissatisfaction.
"Shut up Gray, if Zero says we run away, we run away. Sistine put away the fire and make sure to leave no trace. Leon, grab our supplies and make sure to not leave anything behind. Gray and I will lead the servants out of this place, " the woman near the entrance said with a commanding voice.
"Huh? Why me? Can't it... Maha wa... wait, Tsk. What a pain."
Everyone went ahead and did their task, while I remained seated. I continued to observe and gave myself a conclusion that I was dreaming despite knowing that everything was real. I stood up and the ground was farther than I was used to. I wore a black tunic and black pants accompanied by a pair of dark boots. I looked at Leon and I noticed that his ears were pointy. He was lightly tanned and he had blonde hair. His eyes were green and had a long spear behind his back.
"Zero... You seem out of it. Mind if you tell me what's wrong?" The woman that looked like Sistine said with a worried look.
Should I ask her? Should I play along? Should I tell her that I'm not Zero? Should I... trust her? What if she tries to kill me? Stop... I'm overthinking. I have to take a risk. A risk? I never take risks. Heh? What is this mindset? I'm so confused.
"If the two of you plan on flirting, perhaps now is not a good time," Leon said.
"No one asked you, Leon. Just do what Maha told you to do."
