Chapter 7

Ecriner Town Act 2

I started to walk around the manor hoping that she would suddenly show up in front of me. Since I wasn't able to speak, the only option was to look around the outside of the manor. But I knew deep down I didn't have to look around as I already got the feeling that she was watching me. I began to head towards the front gate. I thought that maybe this entire thing has a border of some sort and if I manage to get out then I'll be able to ask for some help.

"That's wishful thinking, but not bad for a four-year-old reincarnation."

Heh? I stopped walking and looked around to see where the voice came from. But there was no one to be seen. And there's no way I'd miss a cute white-haired girl in this predicament. Just how was she able to speak, let alone read my thoughts. I started walking again in the direction of the front gate while trying to figure it out. I got the feeling that she wasn't here to kill me again because she would've done so already. But then again there was a possibility of her just playing with her prey which is me. I still shouldn't let my guard down just yet. Even though all I could do is pretty much run and delay my death like before.

I stopped walking when I reached the front gate. I wanted to try focusing my thoughts to see if she would respond. I began by closing my eyes and all of a sudden, I felt that someone was behind me. I immediately jumped forward and turned around. And she was there standing. She still looked the same despite it being four years. Her long white hair did not change in terms of length. She was still wearing the same dress from last time and her crimson-red eyes stood out the most as everything around us looked pale.

Can you read my thoughts? No, forget that. I already know you could. Who are you? And what...Eh?

The girl suddenly raised her hand up and her fingers looked like they were in snapping positions. The girl smiled.

"End"

*snap

"Wake up Master Andrew. It's time to wake up Master Andrew" Tina said as she shook my entire body.

Morning already? I just slept like five hours ago. I was so excited that I couldn't sleep. I had to use some special techniques I learned in wikiHow to actually fall asleep.

"Why is there dry blood on your forehead Master Andrew?" Tina asked while healing me.

"Oh that, don't worry about it" I answered, trying to reassure Tina. I can't just tell her that I used a special technique mostly because there are people that simply don't believe in it. And Tina could be one of them.

Tina looked at me with a serious face and sighed. I got out of bed and decided to put my hands on her shoulder like someone who's about to give garbage advice. I said "Worrying about the tiny details can make you miss the entire point" and then I gave her a thumbs up. Tina looked at me with a cringe face, but I pretended that I didn't see it and went to get change. Hm? Is Tina not going to help me get changed? I looked at Tina and she was fixing the bed. Did she forget? Oh well. I quickly changed my clothes into the clothes that Tina prepared and was ready to eat breakfast.

On our way to the dining area, I asked Tina "Did you already forget to do something today Tina?"

Wait, have I asked this before? I feel like I did.

"Hm? Why would you ask tha... Oh, I see. If you're wondering why I didn't help you today with your clothes Master Andrew, It was because Master Luke ordered me to. In fact, he wants to see you after you finish eating breakfast." Tina answered.

I feel like I've had this conversation with Tina before. But when?

I must've looked so deep in thought because the next thing I know Tina was looking at me anxiously. I wanted to say to not worry about anything but for some reason, I simply wasn't feeling it. There was a feeling of uneasiness inside me that I know I won't be able to hide. It would just worry her even more. And for some reason, my consciousness wants me to apologize to Tina.
