Magic. Magic has been believed to be a myth and to only exist inside a person's imagination. But, in this world, it is something considered common. Something that could be acquired through simply being born.
There are three factors that a user must consider when casting a spell. Number one, the caster must speak the incantation. Number two, the caster must have enough mana to cast a certain spell. Each spell has its own mana amount. And Number three, the caster must have a clear mind when casting certain spells, specifically advance type spells. There are four elements that every spell falls under. Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind. Each element will feel different when casting for every person.
I found this book called Magic is Fun about a week ago. I did my best to ignore it because I was scared that something bad might happen if I opened it. But today was a day of realization. A thought came to my mind that if the book was dangerous, then my parents wouldn't have put it here. So I let my curiosity take the better of me and started reading.
I flipped through the pages where the beginner spells were located. There were a decent amount of spells and most of them were easy I think. I thought about trying a fire magic spell because it seemed cool. But If it got out of control then the house could get on fire. I didn't want to live my life homeless so fire spells are out. Water could spill which will cause the wooden floor to rot and fall apart. Earth is perfect outside but I don't have the time to try an Earth spell right now. Which leaves wind spells.
I looked for an easy fun wind-type spell. There was quite a lot but I decided to try out this spell that seems to do a gentle push on an object. But before I even got to try the spell, I got called down.
I closed the book and folded the tip of the page so I know where I left off. I put it back on the shelf where I found it and left a note saying "Don't forget about this book future self!" I went halfway downstairs to see what was happening. Tina was packing up my stuff as well as hers.
"Master Andrew, are you excited to go? The carriage will be here any moment now." Tina said.
With a smile, I nodded with excitement like a kid who got asked if they wanted to go to a park. I wanted to show Tina that I was excited but in truth, I wasn't. I simply want to stay here at home and continue doing my normal routine. It's been three years since the reincarnation and I could finally walk. I've never been so happy to be able to walk until now. I'm really glad I wasn't reincarnated as a tree because staying in one place for the rest of my life would just make me appreciate the life I had in my previous life.
Two weeks ago I just found out that my mother was a noble heir that owns a huge amount of land just north of our house. There's still a lot I don't know about my parents mostly because I never asked them. Plus there's really no need for me to know their past because who they are now is what matters right? I'm mostly preoccupied with learning more about the world. If there's an opportunity to learn their history then I'll do my best to listen. After all, a wise man once said that knowledge is power.
The carriage arrived and the coachman went inside the house to help Tina put our baggage on the back of the carriage. I stood on the side of our front door as I watched them walk back and forth carrying our baggage. My strength isn't quite there yet so even if I wanted to help I wouldn't be able to. But even if I have the strength to do so, I would probably still stand on the side and watch them do the work as I like to watch people work while I do nothing. Hehe.
My parents already went to the Gardner Manor two days ago because apparently, something important was happening. And based on how fast they moved and the look on their faces, it seemed pretty serious. Then yesterday, Tina told me that she received a letter saying that I will also have to go and live in the Gardner Manor. I asked Tina for the reason and all she said was that the reason was not given and the letter was an order from the head of the family. I had to think for a while yesterday before finally remembering that the head of the family was my grandfather from Lucia's side.
