Today was the day. The invasion. The Day of Black Sun.

We had woken up bright and early. Everyone was dressed in their usual clothes and gearing up for the battle. Sokka was making last minute checks of the map, Katara handing him some water to help him concentrate.

"Top of the morning, Momo." Aang said as he flew in, the lemur landing on his shoulder.

Katara stood up, "Sounds like you slept well."

"Like a baby moose lion. I'm ready to face the Fire Lord."

"So what's your strategy for taking him down? Going to get your glow on and hit him with a little Avatar state actions?" Toph asked, punching the air.

Aang looked at the floor glumly, "I can't. When Azula shot me with lightning, my seventh chakra was locked, cutting off my connection to all the cosmic energy in the universe."

Toph looked blandly, "Ya know what I just heard? Blah-blah spiritual mumbo jumbo, blah-blah something about space."

"Oh, no. Sokka do you think the fog will delay the invasion?"

I looked out to sea to see what she meant. A thick fog was rolling in from the East, exactlywhere we were sailing off to.

Sokka stood up, "No, that is the invasion."

Using earthbending, Toph and Aang created ports for the Water Tribe ships to dock into. Katara and Sokka ran out, greeting their father with a hug. Everyone began to get settled in as Sokka introduced me to everyone.

"Hi Katara." An Earth Kingdom man approached us, with a terrible mustache and goatee.

Katara seemed to recognise him though, "Haru, it's so good to see you."

Aang introduced us, "Toph, Muri, this is Haru. When we met him, his town was controlled by the Fire Nation. So we had to hide his earthbending."

"Katara inspired me and my father to take back our village." The young man explained.

An elderly man came up behind them, placing a hand on each of their shoulders, "You helped us find our courage, Katara. Now we're here to help you."

The Water Tribe girl blushed fiercely.

I leaned down to Toph and whispered, "They totally had a thing together."

"Yep." She responded casually before perking up and turning, "No way. Is that-"

Top was interrupted by an incredibly large man picking her up and squeezing her tightly, "Hippo happy to see Blind Blandit!"

Hilariously, she squared up while still being held like a puppy in the man's hands, "You guys here for a rematch."

"Negatory." Another man behind the large one, "The Boulder and The Hippo no longer fight for other's entertainment. now we fight for our kingdom!"

"Sweet."

An explosion sounded from one of the boats and we all came rushing over to check everything was alright. A man emerged from below deck, coughing out the smoke he inhaled. A young boy in a wheelchair raced down the ramp and onto the pier, followed by the rest of them.

"Was that a new invention?" Sokka asked the older gentleman.

"Yes. But unfortunately the incendiary capabilities of peanut sauce proved to be a failure." He explained as the young boy licked said sauce off his hand and fingers.

Sokka paled, "You're making peanut sauce bombs?"

A big lad perked up, "They're destructive!"

The little kid on his shoulders chimed in, "And delicious!"
