A/N: not my art, imagine this without the hair and makeup
Our apartment in the upper ring was very nice, indeed. The architecture was more similar to that of the Fire Nation capital and had much brighter colours. To fit in with the crowd, I'd gone out and bought us all some nicer robes to wear. On our first morning there, I'd woken up beside Zuko at the crack of dawn. I pressed a kiss to his head, got dressed and covered the marks Zuko had left as best I could with fabric or make up. I left to see Iroh already making breakfast so I sat at the table with a cup of tea and relaxed.
An hour later Zuko joined us, looking much healthier than the day before and very smart in his new robes.
"What's that smell?" He asked.
"It's Jook. I'm sure you wouldn't like it."
Zuko leaned down to smell it, "Actually it smells delicious. I'd love a bowl Uncle."
Iroh looked at him suspiciously and even I was unsure about how happy Zuko seemed.
"Now that your fever is gone. You seem different somehow."
"It's a new day! We have a new apartment, new furniture and today's the grand opening of your new tea shop." He sat down beside me before yanking me into his lap and pressing a kiss to my neck, "And I have a gorgeous fiance that looks lovely in her new dress."
I blushed, "You seem very happy today."
"Things are looking up."
Iroh interrupted our moment, waving around his ladle, "Well it's going to be a lot of hard work later so enjoy it while you can."
I started to drink some of my jook before noticing Zuko's gaze on me.
"I was thinking." He took my hands, "Perhaps, we should find a date and place for our wedding."
Frozen in place, I stuttered out, "What?"
He smiled, seeming a little bashful and nervous about the whole thing, "Well, we have been engaged for 8 years now and we are of marrying age."
"I-Do you really want to get married?" I asked, unsure that this was actually happening.
"Of course." Zuko kissed my ring, "We have a good apartment, though I wished for a house, and we have steady jobs. I think it's time for us to start a life together as a family. As the Hong family rather than the royal family."
I squealed, launching myself into his arms out of joy. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Iroh smiling at us earnestly.

Later that day, on my lunch break, I went to visit the Jasmine Dragon. From the second I walked in, I noticed just how busy it was. I found Zuko at the back, cleaning up a table.
