"Took you long enough!" Fin complained while getting into the car. "I'm sorry Finney, I lost track of time," I said while speeding off "robin kept asking about you, it was weird" Gwen smiled "maybe. he's already trying to get dibs on her!" fin was disgusted "EW DON'T SAY THAT" They argued the whole rest of the ride to the mall.
"Alright we are here," I said getting out "Woah Woah, I never noticed what you were wearing" I looked at him "is there something wrong with it" I asked him he Immediately started panic realizing what he said "no- no I just didn't notice it". I was wearing very baggy sweats my black bandana tied in my hair some Cortez's and a black cropped tanktop. "Well obviously haven't seen what I did to your sister," I said smirking "wait what" Finney looked at me in confusion. Gwen walks out in the outfit I gave her earlier. She was wearing a graphic tee with a pair of low-rise jeans I had.
"cute right" Gwen says punching Finney he was too in shock to even realize she hit him . "Whatever let's just go inside" he said while Turning towards the mall. we walked in, and People were looking at us immediately. "Has anyone here ever seen a girl with actual style before?" asked Gwen "for real Mari how do you deal with all of these stares" he nudges me "I enjoy the stares, they make me feel like I'm better than everyone else ig?"
I noticedwhen people stare at Gwen and Finney they kind of get timid. Not with me call me a self-absorbed bitch or that I'm obsessed with myself. All theses thing do is make me confident, I don't care what anyone says I love the things I do. Fake it till you make it baby.
Fast forward
We went into the food court we found a table for us to sit at. I was sitting on the actual table than the chairs around them because chairs are overrated. We were just hanging out since we had nothing else to do after I bought them a whole new wardrobe. We didn't want to go back home yet our curfew hadn't even set in yet for us to go home. "Marianna don't look behind you, but the scariest person is staring at you" Gwen whispered to me I was confused "wait who?" I asked her and purposely turned my head around to look. She smacked the back of my head like if I was an idiot. "The guy with the curly blonde hair, jean jackets, and he's tall. That is pinball vance otherwise known as Vance hopper. he's the strongest kid at our school! he's been arrested twice and has been rumored to almost kill a kid for ruining his score in a game of pinball" I look at her dumbfounded "that's who everyone's scared of yeah, that's no from me" i started laughing and I could feel his eyes BURING holes into the back of my head.
THUD!
A loud noise came from this Vance dude's direction. Gwen and fin both flinched immediately. I didn't even blink I heard yelling and screaming. "Finney can you get me a milkshake please," I said handing him my money. "Uh sure," he ran off to get me a milkshake. "Marina how aren't you scared or even interested in the fight between Vance and that Radom kid" I laugh at her a little "because he's doing it for the crowd" Gwen looked confused.
"Let me explain it to you, Gwendolyn once you become a fighter you have to keep your reputation at certain standard". She still looked confused "here let me put it into perspective, getting into fights in public earns your respect, and it shows people not to mess with you like in this case" I told her and finally made eye contact with the pinball boy or whatever his name is. "but on some odd occasions they do it to impress someone" and I just turned back and looked back an Gwen.
Gwen looked at me in utter shock no words coming out of her mouth. she was going to say something but Finney showed up. "I got you your milkshake" fins hands it to me with a smile "thank you fin," I said grabbing and taking a sip of it.

"Well, are you guys ready to head out?" I asked them they both replied yes I let them walk in front of me and we headed home.
