Mariannas pov
I've been getting weird stares all day ever since what happened at lunch but I didn't mind because they deserved it. The rest of the day had gone pretty slow but it was finally time for my last period.
I managed to find my class on my own since I couldn't find Robin or Finney. I walked in and saw Robin and Finney sitting together in the back of the class.
I started to walk towards them.
"Hey, marina" Finney greeted me smiling.
"Wassup Bonita" robin just nodded his head.
What is that about? Ew not him calling me Bonita. I thought he was supposed to be tough or whatever.
Finney cleared his throat after a few seconds of awkward silence. "Uhm we have free seats today! You can sit anywhere" he said explaining to me. "Yeah okay, fin," I told him. With that, I went to go sit alone in the back of the classroom.
The class had started and the teacher walked into the room. "Like I said on Friday, today we will pick new science partners!" The teacher informed us.
'So this is why they told me to sit anywhere
"I'm going to let you pick your partners and where you sit, but just remember once you pick your partner you cannot move seats till next quarter!" The teacher warned all of us.
I'm completely screwed! Because first of all, I'm the new kid so I have no friends, second of all I got into a fight, so now everyone's is going to be scared to come up to me. I would have asked Finney but he's partnered up with Robin.
A normal person in this situation would sit down and be lonely. But I'm not normal enough for that so I walked across the room.
There was a girl sitting alone. She had short black hair, and she was wearing a floral shirt. She was just playing with her pencil and looking at the floor, so this was my opportunity. I walked straight toward her desk.
"Hi" I waved at her standing next to the desk.
"Oh, Uhm hi!" She looked up at me and smiled.
"Do you have a partner yet?" I asked her, I'm getting straight to the point.
"Uh- yeah I don't have a partner" she stutters a bit.
"You have one now," I said while taking a seat next to her and throwing my books on the table in Infront of me. "So what's your name?" I asked her. "My name is Donna, what's your?" She asked me. "My name is Marianna Ramirez, but you can call me marina," I said while smiling at her. Her facial expression changed not to a bad one...but a surprised one.
"You are the girl who beat up matty and his goons-!" She whispers so other people wouldn't hear. "Indeed that was me, but hey he was tryna force me on a date with him so he deserved it" I laughed.
Me and Donna hit it off. I thought I wouldn't make any friends here, but this girl is so fun. And we kept talking to each other.
After a few minutes of me and Donna talking I notice her looking behind me. I feel a pair of arms go around me it was Finney. "Hey there," I said while looking up. "Hi Marina, here is your pen," Finney said while putting the pen in my face. I grabbed it and he let go of me and he walked away. I noticed Donna watched him as he walked away. She looked hurt in a way?
OH, I GET IT NOW.
"No need to worry Donna he's just my cousin" I smiled at her, she immediately started to turn red, and I started laughing. "It's not what you think!" She says hiding her face in her hands. "Whatever you say, Donna, also you are now my best friend whether you like it or not" she just laughed.
Time skip!
The class just ended, and let me be honest I didn't pay attention at all. I was talking to Donna the whole class period. It's not much to worry about though I am a straight A+ student, so nothing I couldn't fix if my grade were to go down. "Hey, marina want to go to the baseball game with me later this afternoon?" Donna asked me while grabbing her books. "Only if you come over to my house before so I can give you some clothes," I asked while grabbing my books. Donna gassed putting her hand on her chest acting fake offended. "You saying I have a bad styler?" She asked. "Yes," I said and we both busted out laughing.
