You Haoyu is completely frozen; stiff. He just blanks out watching Du You approach him.
Then, he extends his hand, putting it by his ear——And catches something, patting it away.
You Haoyu turns his head around to realise the werewolf has swung his tail nearby. He seems to be having a great sleep lying on his side on the luxurious leather. He was wagging his tail.
Du You gestures for You Haoyu to stand up and then leans in, pulling the coat he put on the beast down, hiding the tail inside.
Then, afterwards, he turns to ask, “what did you want to say?”
Emotions needed brewing. An interruption has sapped him of his strength again, and instead, he asks, “what’s with this guy?”
This was something that needed explaining.
Du You didn’t have the opportunity earlier with the driver present and then going to the hospital and all that.
“Remember what I told you about?”
“What?”
“Parallel worlds theory.”
You Haoyu vaguely recalls something when he hears that.
It was something so utterly absurd that he deleted from his memories not long after hearing about it.
He starts to remember now.
“You saw it. I myself, and this guy,” Du You points to the sleeping werewolf, “we’re not human. And, we’re all from another world.”
You Haoyu nods without a word.
Du You continues, “as for why he attacked——Do you remember ‘Xiao Tiantian’?”
You Haoyu has to think for a while before recalling. He only saw him that one time so he couldn’t remember very well, but he seems to remember him being inexplicably delusional.
Suddenly, his thoughts screech to a halt.
He didn’t think Du You was telling the truth back then, so he didn’t think about the implications.
If this was true——Then, does that mean, in another world, he once really fell in love with that Xiao Tiantian?
Impossible. How would he ever fall for someone like that.
While You Haoyu is mired in shock and self-doubt, Du You starts to explain in detail.
“You and I, and this werebeast, and the people from other parallel worlds, are all connected via this one person. So he may have attacked us in his fight for Xiao Tiantian.”
“But…” Then Du You says, still pointing to the werewolf, “this one is resolved. So for now, we don’t have to worry anymore.”
As long as the next member of the Top doesn’t appear.
All this talk of the supernatural is a bit much for You Haoyu to digest.
Du You can see how shaken up he is, and says, “don’t worry, your life would not be affected. This is a problem I will deal with.”
