"Hey, Evie."

 "Evie, how was your summer?"

"Looking good Evie."

I turned from my locker and saw Evie and Chrissy walking down the hallway together. Guys lined up to get her attention, but she was in a compelling conversation with Chrissy.

"Emerson, you're just going to let them talk to her that way?" I turned to Gareth who leaned against the locker next to mine. He was talking to Jeff about our upcoming campaign. He looked up from their conversation and up at Evie.

"She's fine, they won't try anything. She's just my dorky little sister." He turned back to the conversation and I grabbed my lunch tin out of my locker.

"Well, we have little sheep to herd." I fell into line with the herds of students walking into the cafeteria. Jeff, Simon, and Gareth followed behind as I claimed our usual table. We sat down and I looked around the room. I found two freshmen sitting together and pointed at them. "Those two, they look promising." I stood up and walked over to them. One was wearing a Weird-Al shirt, which I thought was brave but the other wore whatever his mommy bought from the Goddamn GAP. I sat down next to them and they looked at me.

"Uh, did you mean to sit here?" The one with black hair asked me and I smiled.

"I did," I said, leaning in to talk with them. "You see, I'm Eddie. I run the Hellfire Club and you two look like brave knights to join our campaign. What do you say?" They looked at each other in confusion before the one with curly brown hair smiled, his weird little smile.

"I'm Dustin Henderson and this is Mike Wheeler." He reached out his hand and I took it.

"Is that a yes?" I asked and he nodded. "Great, come on over and meet everyone else." I got up and walked back to the table as the other two followed behind, tripping over themselves. Gareth was shaking his head as I sat down.

"What did you do?" Gareth asked as Dustin and Mike sat down awkwardly.

"These are our brave new members, Henderson and Wheeler. This is Gareth, Jeff, and Simon." They began talking as someone caught my eye as she walked into the cafeteria. Her curly brown hair bounced along her shoulders as she walked. Her smile could cure any disease and she was just drop-dead gorgeous. She was wearing a yellow sundress with little green and pink flowers on it with a white, oversized cardigan. Her eyes met mine across the room before she quickly looked away.

"Who is that?" Dustin asked breaking my gaze off of her. I looked at Dustin and he was smiling at me. "Whoever she is, she's hot." The guys all began laughing except Gareth.

"That would be my little sister," He said looking right at Dustin. "And she doesn't like freaks."

"What are you talking about, she is one of us," Jeff argued. "She's the best sub we will ever have, Gareth. Maybe even better than you." I laughed a little and stood up. Evie was walking over to the table with the athletics with Chrissy.

"Dude, don't do it. Please," Gareth looked up at me as I got on the table. "She will kill you." I ignored his warning as everyone looked at me.

"Guinevere Emerson," I cupped my hands around my mouth to make my voice louder. Her cheeks burned red and she tried to ignore me. "Oh Evie," I called and she turned around to look at me. I stood there with a little laugh as she flicked me off. I walked back the other way and hopped off the table. She began walking over to me and I gestured for her to sit in my seat.

"What the hell, Edward!" She hit my shoulder and it hurt a little bit. "Gareth, tell your stupid friend not to bother me at school."

"Hey stupid friend, the princess here requests you don't address her at school." I smiled as Gareth looked from her to me.
