"Took you long enough," Gareth exclaimed as I finally made it to the basement. Everyone was already around the table and Eddie was setting up. Everyone watched as I made my way to the seat next to Eddie. "So why did you take so long?"

"Andy stopped by." I looked over at Eddie whose jaw was clenched. Everyone began talking about something stupid and I zoned out, thinking about what I would say to Andy. I was shocked to feel someone grab ahold of my hand under the table. I looked down at our hands then back up at Eddie, who was paying attention to the game. He was narrating like usual in his crazy Dungeon Master voice. He must have known I was in my head as he squeezed my hand quickly before dropping it.

"You having narrowly escaped the evil prince, you find yourselves in the dangerous Fire Swamps," Eddie started, looking at Dustin.

"Do I know anything about this area? Any danger?" Dustin questioned as everyone sat quietly and watched.

"Roll a history check." Dustin rolled his dice and everyone held their breath. Dustin looked at his roll then up at Dustin.

"15."

"You know of rumors of giant rats in the swamps, as well as quicksand."

"What do I know about the giant rats?" Dustin asked peering down at the map.

"Roll nature." Dustin rolled again and Eddie smiled.

"Rodents of unusual size? I don't think they exist."  With that they continued playing, Dustin almost getting taken out by quicksand and the giant rats. I laughed before scooting my chair out to get up. Eddie looked up at me before everyone else.

"Where do you think you are going?" He asked, breaking character.

"Well, I'm held captive by the prince, so I am not needed." I walked over to the stairs and noticed the frown on Eddie's face.

"Uh, we've been playing for like two hours, why don't we take a fifteen." Eddie stood up and followed me upstairs. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a snack. "Is everything ok?" I didn't look at Eddie and stayed quiet. "Evie, are you ignoring me?"

"No, Eddie." I turned towards the fridge but ran into Eddie's chest. I looked up at him before opening the fridge.

"Then what's wrong?"

"Nothing." That was a lie. I was disappointed he was lying to me.

"You never leave Hellfire early."

"I'm tired and it's already late. I just want to go to bed. Our campaign isn't going to be ruined because the helpless princess drops out early." I grabbed an orange out of the fridge and moved to the counter to peel it.

"She isn't helpless." I turned to look at Eddie who was looking at his hands. He looked sad also.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Your campaign is great, I just don't feel like playing anymore." Eddie looked up at me.

"What's wrong?"

"Stop asking." I threw away the orange peel as the older boys made their way upstairs. I grabbed a glass of water and began towards the stairs. "Goodnight, everyone." There was a knock on the front door and I stopped in the hallway to listen. Just making sure it wasn't Andy.

"Wheeler, your sister is here to get you," I heard Eddie yell down to the basement. He walked past the hallway and looked at me. "Are you snooping?" I shook my head no and walked upstairs.

"Eddie, stop following me." He was behind me as I walked upstairs. I heard a small chuckle from him and turned to him once I got upstairs.

"Tell me what's the matter and I'll leave you alone. Hellfire is over so they won't miss me." He gave me a goofy smile and I rolled my eyes. I walked into my bedroom, trying to shut my door behind me but Eddie pushed it open.
