Somewhere in a barren valley, a purple-haired teenager wearing a cape and dressed in purple and black was walking by himself, when he came across a young red-haired kid in a red and yellow hoodie.
???: Are you Okano Haru?
Okano: Yep, that's me! I'm all prepared for my battle against you!
???: You claim you're the top Battle Deck racer. That correct?
Okano: Correct! I'm the one who's gonna be the ultimate warrior!
???: How cute. Name's Mino Seiesnsui.
Okano: Nah, that isn't your name. Your name is "guy that spills pudding cups on purpose!"
Mino: One, that's a bad insult. Two, you seriously wanna battle me over pudding?
Okano: It was chocolate, aka best flavor!
Mino: We all know that the best pudding is caramel.
Okano gasped.
Okano: How dare you!
Mino: Enough yapping, I want this battle to begin.
Okano: Okay...
Okano pulled out his three deck cards for his car - defence, speed, attack. Mino only pulled out his car's defence deck card.
Okano: Wait, you're battling with just the defence part?
Mino: No, stupid! Chubbs! Skinny! Get over here and lend me your cards!
A short and fat teen, Chubbs, and a tall and slim teen, Skinny, ran over to Mino.
Chubbs: Man, why do you have to refer to us using our birth defects?
Skinny: You're heartless.
Mino: Quiet. Chubbs, lend me the speed deck card from your Metal Bull. Skinny, your attack deck card from your White Ghost Snake.
Skinny: Anything for Mr. Seiesnsui!
Chubbs gave his speed card to Mino. Skinny did the same with his attack card.
Okano: You done?
Mino nodded.
Okano: Alright.
Mino/Okano: DECK COMBINATION GO!
Both battlers threw their deck cards into the air. Okano's car's defense card latched onto its speed card, and those two latched onto its attack card, and locked into place, completing the Fire Phoenix - a red Phoenix-type car bearing the number 3 and a stylized phoenix on its hood.
Okano: Fire Phoenix, ready!
Mino's defense card did the same, except it latched onto the Metal Bull's speed card, and those two latched onto the White Ghost Snake's attack card, completing the customized Dragon Darkness - a clear black Dragon-type car with the number 6 and a stylized dragon on its hood.
Mino: Custom Dragon Darkness, ready!
An oval racetrack, the Super Dragon track, appeared around the two, and they placed their cars on the starting point - Fire Phoenix left, Dragon Darkness right.
Skinny: You just wanna watch the race and eat some popcorn?
Chubbs: Yeah.
Okano: Ready...
Okano pulled the Fire Phoenix back.
Mino: Steady...
Mino pulled the customized Dragon Darkness back.
Okano/Mino: DECK DUEL!!!
Both opponents released their cars, and both cars were off!
Chubbs: This is gonna be good!
So far, the race was pretty clean. Sure there were a few near misses, but other than that, pretty clean!
Okano: Fire Phoenix is gonna take you down!
Mino: You think? My car has five-star attack power thanks to White Ghost Snake's weapon. What does your car have, oh yeah, two less stars!
Okano: Oh yeah? Well what Fire Phoenix lacks in attack, it makes up for in five-star defense power and four-star speed power!
Mino: So?
Okano: Your Dragon Darkness has three-star defense power, two less than Fire Phoenix!
Mino: That won't change anything.
Okano: Yeah, it won't change the fact that you'll be crying to your mommy after Dragon Darkness is destroyed!
Mino: My mommy left me!
Okano: Oh-kay... Still, prepare to lose!
Ghostly visions of a phoenix and dragon appeared in the sky, representing both Fire Phoenix and Dragon Darkness, respectively.
Skinny: Ooooh, full spirit! That's when the battle gets exciting!
Then, the two cars collided and began trying to push each other back!
Okano: Let's go, Burning Roar!
Fire Phoenix's spirit screeched, giving Fire Phoenix enough power to push the Dragon Darkness back to where its back right tire was hanging off the edge!
Okano: It's over, Mino!
Mino: Yes... for you, that is. Special AttackDragon Bite!
Dragon Darkness's spirit proceeded to bite Fire Phoenix's spirit, shattering both spirits and thrusting Dragon Darkness forward, sending the Fire Phoenix flying!
Okano: Huh?!
Chubbs: Exciting, eh, Slickly?
Skinny: Quite good, quite good.
The Fire Phoenix hit the ground hard, not only sending the attack and speed parts flying off, along with the speed part's tires, but also denting the defense part a bit!
Okano: FIRE PHOENIX!!!!
Mino smirked as Okano ran to the remains of his car.
Okano: No, no, no, no!
Okano attempted to fit one of the speed part's tires back onto the part, but it wouldn't fit thanks to the axle being bent. Chubbs and Skinny were laughing at him.
Skinny: This is pure comedy!
Chubbs: I know, right?
Okano *tears in his eyes*: No it isn't!
Okano ran up to Mino.
Okano: You-you'll pay for this!
Okano proceeded to burst into tears and ran off.
Skinny: Doubt he's gonna come back.
Mino: This is only the beginning. Soon enough, I'll obtain enough power to re-awaken Death.
Chubbs: Death isn't... dead.
Mino: Not the concept, the power of Death!
Chubbs: Oh...kay?
Mino devilishly smirked.
Mino: Look out world, here comes Mino!
Skinny: And Skinny!
Chubbs: And Chubbs!
Mino: Ughhh, what'd I do to deserve you two lackeys? Must've done some bad things in my life.
