Taken

I woke up in a fit of rush and frantically looked around, all the events of what I assume was yesterday actions came rushing back to me. I looked around at the dirt filled ground, the walls filled with overgrown shrubs and vines, the broken and missing windows and realized that I was in an abandoned building, question is, is where?

I pushed myself up and brushed off, getting a better look around when something lying on the ground caught my attention, I froze in place carful not to make too much noise than what I'd already been making, I squinted my and nudge my neck forward for a better look and saw that it was a body.

A low gasp left my lips, I slowly walked forward. I mean, I didn't know where I was and who's out there if I should run so why not check out who is this lying on the floor. I took a few more steps forward and neared the body, it was breathing! I stooped down and was shocked to my core to see that it was onika.

I shook her violently not even realizing that I didn't check for a pulse or breathing. Luckily she shifted and started to wake up from her unconscious state.

"Onika!" I whisper yelled and she looked up just as shocked as I was.

"Aliyah?" She asked looking around confused.

"Yes it's me... Are you okay?" She paused, clearly in shock and then her memories slowly started to come back.

"Shit someone toon us" she stated and I nodded.

"Are you okay?" I inquired again and she rose from her lying state and sat up.

"Yeah am okay... You?" She asked back and I nodded. She looked around assessing our surroundings.

"Where are we?" I shrugged looking around again also.

"Beats me... The real question is why we're here" we used each other as support and got up from off the ground, she brushed her self off and started to walk around looking for an entrance or exit and any signs of life.

"So they just left us here... It doesn't make any sense" she started voicing my thoughts.

"I was thinking the same thing... They didn't hurt us so what was their motives"

"Let's just try to find a way out of here" I agreed and we started searching again, most of the windows and door were nailed shut so we were in a big abandoned building with an upstairs and lots of Windows.

We went upstairs and was glad to see one window free of board and nails, we rushed to it and looked through but all we could see was the long everlasting plain of trees.

"Where the hell are we?" Onika whispered from beside me.

"Let's try and break the glass" I suggested and she gave me a crazy look.

"With what bitch ion see no stones" I rolled my eyes and took Friday's sweater that I stole from him off and wrapped it around my hand.

"Step back" I commanded and she threw her hands up and stepped back enough to give me room, I wrapped it tightly around my covering my elbow and positioned myself at the side of the window to shield myself from any remnants of glass and shards.

I drew my elbow forward and slammed it as hard as I could against the window, it didn't work at first and onika raised an eyebrow at me thinking of how crazy I was.

I drew my elbows forward again and slammed it against the window this time earning the satisfying sound of glass braking, shards came flying forward and backwards and onika had to shield her self, however the window was broken which was the main goal.

"Alright there we go" I said in a breathy tone.

"Gotta give it to you girl.. gotta give it to you" I ignored her remark and poked my head through the half cracked, cut my head off now window and looked down at the solid ground below us.

"Shit .. it's a far drop" I said, it had a ledge we could go out on but we would still take a hefty fall.

"I mean.. it's better than being left here to sta—what's that?" I snapped my head around hearing niks question and saw her looking at one of the corners. She was looking at a little black box, too clean to have been here for a while.

We both inched forward, slowly approaching the thing.

"Seems harmless enough" I said and this time onika rolled her eyes.

"Sometimes I forget that your dad is white" she remarked and I shoved her.

"Stop.."

"It's true!" She laughed and I shook my head, I knelt down Infront of the box and carefully picked it up you know just in case it was a bomb. I opened the lid slowly and with one push I opened it.

"Oh thank God!" Onika yelled from beside me when she saw that it was our phones. Happily we picked them up, I had over two dozen missed call from everybody, messages and everything.

I quickly dialed Friday's number.

"Who you calling Friday?" She asked from beside me and I nodded just as I heard the phone being picked up.

"Hello?" I heard a woman's voice. I drew the phone away from my ears and looked down at the caller ID to make sure that it was Friday who I was calling.

"Who the fuck is this?" I asked putting the phone back at my ears, She chuckled and I instantly got heated.

"This is his—" her voice got cut off and I heard cussing in the background.

"Aliyah!.. Shit baby are you okay? I've been calling, what happened" I heard Friday's frantic voice finally coming through the phone.

"No I was kidnapped and who was that?" I asked totally downing the fact that I just said kidnapped.

"Kidnapped.. Wh— okay look ama call the police, turn your location on" he said ignoring my question.

"You haven't called the police as yet and I said Who was that?" I asked again this time loud and clear.

"Aliyah that is not important right now... When your home safe we talk aight?" He commanded, I bit the inside of my jaw to calm myself down and breathed through my nose.

"Fine..." He made sure I was alright over about a hundred times more before hanging up to call the police. I looked over at onika who had a curious look on her face and I instantly knew what she was thinking, I glared at her stopping her thoughts right in there tracks before they came out on her tongue.

She threw her hands up in defeat and took a seat on the ground.

"Friday is getting help so now we wait" I mumbled and she nodded. I secretly crossed my fingers and hoped to God that Friday wasn't cheating, not when I was starting to fall for him.
