Elijah's POV:Currently, I'm waiting in the airport for my sorellina to arrive. I see a rush of people come down the escalator, so I decide to text her that I'm by Starbucks in case she's in the crowd looking for me.
When Lorenzo told us that she's coming home, I was speechless. I felt tears coming down my face and I was really ecstatic that he chose me to come get Aria.
My phone vibrates and I see she texted back.
A-Who are you?
E-I'm Elijah, your brother :)
Theres a pause until she texts back
A- I don't see you
This is where I take the moment into my own hands, she doesn't know what I look like, and there's men everywhere, but I'm assuming there's very few teenage girls all by themselves. Lucky for me, when I look up theres a girl on her phone with a confused look right in front of me just multiple feet away. I hope it's her, or this would just be awkward.
E-look up :)
I decide that's the easiest way to put it. She looks up and we make eye contact.
I decide that while she looks me over, I might as well look her over. She really is beautiful, she looks just like our mo- Alissa, her mom. She wears what looks like two really big sweatshirts, and baggy jeans. Not to sound like the snobby rich guy, but her clothes look really worn out and the only luggage with her is a small backpack that looks like it's been through hell. Although the clothes she has on give her no figure, I can see how slim her face looks and it's kind of concerning. Who knows, we're definitely going to be getting her new clothes tho.
I look back into her eyes to just see her staring so I give a smile to move this awkward interaction along. Her cheeks heat up and blush a perfect shade of red in embarrassment. She's so cute! She grabs her backpack strap and starts walking over to me with her head down.
When we're face to face, I don't know whether to just immediately hug her or to introduce myself. I decide the best way was introductions, that way some man she just met doesn't all of sudden jump in her arms.
"Hi! I'm Elijah! Hopefully the plane ride wasn't to long! Are you hungry? Of course your probably hungry! Let's get going! Dinners waiting for when we get home!" I say, realizing that I just totally just rambled on due to excitement.
She nods her head in agreement and give a slight but fake smile. She doesn't even look me in the eyes. She must be shy.
Realizing that this is probably the only I moment, I lean in to give her a hug. What I expected was for her to give me a hug back, but instead she flinched and tenses up when I touch her. I didn't mean to make her feel uncomfortable, I've just been so depressed when she left, it feels good to be able to hold her again.
As I'm hugging her, I realize how thin she really is, I could tell a little bit from her face, but I feel like I if I wrap both my hands on either side of her hips, my hands would touch. What'd they do starve her? Actually, now that I think about it, where did she come from? I'll ask Lorenzo later.
Realizing she's not hugging back and clearly uncomfortable since she's as stiff as a board, I let her go and give her a big smile trying to keep myself from balling on the spot. I go to grab her hand, but she immediately flinches and pulls back. jeez, she obviously hates skin to skin contact, or she's afraid of me.
