Aria's POV:I get brought out of some of the most peaceful sleep I've ever been in by someone shaking me.
"Aria, time to wake up bambina." I hear a voice that I soon recognize as Elijah say.
I open my eyes to see him still in his seat on the drivers side, leaning my way to get me awake. Once he realizes I'm at least half awake, he continues on, "we're home love bug, let's get inside and eat some dinner!" I nod my head to acknowledge what he said and decide to take in my surroundings.
Holy shit.
This place is massive! I can't believe this is Elijah's house! I stare up at the house in awe as I hear Elijah give a slight chuckle at my expression, but can you blame me?
Elijah opens his door and I soon do the same, picking up my backpack on my way. Immediately I wince in pain as my shoulders are sore and badly bruised. Nothing new, but sleeping in the car didn't exactly help my neck problems.
Luckily Elijah had his back towards me, as he was unlocking the house so he didn't notice. He soon opens the door for me to walk in first to reveal the most beautifully decorated house I've ever seen. The double front doors open up to a spacious foyer with a round table in the middle to divide the sections, straight ahead is grand stairs to which I presume lead to the rooms. To the right is a big living room and to the left is an entryway to which I'm guessing is the kitchen and dining room. It feels so wrong for me to just be standing here, saying what I look like. With my dirty, oversized and baggy clothes and dirty sneakers.
"How about we bring your bag upstairs, take a look around your room and then come back down for dinner. Yeah?" Elijah asks in which I nod my head to.
Elijah starts making his way to the stairs in which I follow behind him.
Damn it these stairs are difficult to climb.
"Hey, you okay? You look like your limping." Elijah suddenly says.
I realize he's already to the top while I'm still trying to walk up the stairs with the horrendous pain in my right leg.
"I'm ok, I'm just tired. Sorry" Lie.
"Okay, no need to apologize bambina" Elijah says with a quick half smile as if he just wanted to assure me what he said was true.
I try my best to quicken my steps and finally make it to the top of the stairs. We start walking down the hall until he comes to stop in front of a door before pulling it open to reveal my new room.
Literally jaw dropping
"Welcome to your room Aria!"
I look at my room in awe. With the aesthetic of the room being a rose gold/blush pink and white, it's the most gorgeous room I've ever seen. I can't believe it's for me! I even get an actual bed!
I take a few more steps inside my new room, and take in my new sanctuary. To the very right of the room in a big bed in the middle of the right wall. Straight ahead is a desk with s cute chair, and a bay window that overlooks gorgeous trees and land. To my left are two doors, the closest one in which is a huge bathroom. The farthest door away, the door closest to the desk is a fabulous spacious blush pink closet.
"Based off of your expression I'm going to say you like it, yes?." Elijah speaks out, scaring me a bit as I completely forgot he was still here.
I quickly nod my head yes, just to earn a chuckle from Elijah.
"You don't talk much do you?" He asks
I simply shrug my shoulders while looking down and playing with my fingers.
I didn't know I'm allowed to talk
"Okay, we'll how about you leave your bag here, as you can unpack later. But for now let's go downstairs and get dinner. I'm starving and I'm sure you are to!" Elijah says, perking up at the mention of food.
I set my bag down on the floor, then follow Elijah out the door to go down the stairs. As we get down the last few steps, my anxiety starts to grow even more at the thought of when I would meet my eldest brother Lorenzo popped into my head.
As we began walking to the kitchen, Elijah puts his hand on the small of my back as I flinch at the sudden contact and immediately tense. He gives me a quick glance with his eyebrows furrowed before slightly nudging me forward so that he was behind me instead of in front of me.
As we get within feet of the kitchen, I hear voices coming from the room. I try to keep my mind clear of an presumptions, but all to soon, my body comes to an immediate stop. The second I take a step into the kitchen I see 6 muscular and intimidating men sitting at the diner table.
The voices quickly die down as heads turn and all eyes are on me.
My eyes go straight to the man at the head of the table. Based off his aura and intimidating look on his face, I can tell he is the oldest and the most respected person in the room.
With not knowing what to do, how to react, or even who these big, scary, and somehow all freakishly handsome men are, I decide to break the ice first.
This may cause for punishment later, but the tension in the room is getting to me.
Gaining enough courage, I back up into Elijah and lift my head to look him in the eyes and ask the big question.
"Who are these people?" I ask him in a quiet voice, hoping the other men wouldn't hear.
Before answering, Elijah gives me big, but somehow sad smile, as if what I asked hurt him a little. "These, Aria, are your brothers!"
"All of them?" I ask, already afraid to know the answer.
"Afraid so bambina." One of the men at the table says.
My face immediately pales from the thought of seven brothers. Then soon heats up as I realized they could hear me when I asked who they were.
Oh god, we're already embarrassing ourself are we?
Elijah then replaces his hand on my back as he pushes me forward to an empty seat at the dinner table.
