KEY: Your POV, Wesker's POV

Stupid human. I told you not to go to raccoon city. You are such a wrench in my plans. Now I must work around you. You're lucky I don't want you dead yet, Y/N.

I arrived at the station, beelining for Chief Irons' office. I threw the door open & slammed my hands on his desk. Maybe a bit dramatic but this seems dire.

"What in the hell, L/N?" Chief Irons had clearly shit his pants /j (not really, just scared).

"I'm sorry Chief, this is urgent."

"It better not be another 'Mystery Man' theory," he mocked.

I paused. "You're kidding me L/N."

"He's real! I swear! He killed my whole team!"

Chief Irons walked around me & looked out to see if anyone was listening. He dismissed them & closed the door.

"Your team was killed by these... zombies! Not a man. A man cannot move at the speed of sound & disappear into thin air!" He half whispered angrily.

"No, he exis-"

"That is enough L/N. I have no choice but to fire you. You have lost your mind, maybe a job as a school teacher would be better... safer."

"I just got my job back!"

"I don't care, that was a misjudgment on my part."

Chief Irons opened the door once more & directed me out of his office. I left my gun & my badge on the table before leaving. I hung my head, I can't believe I just lost my job. I felt my shoulder bump into a stranger.

"Oh, sorry."

"Hey, Officer L/N? The cover-up crew?" a voice called.

"Huh?"

I looked up to see a man looking down at me. He had dark brown hair, a stubble, & a box of supplies in his hands.

"You're the only officer that survived the mansion coverup mission right?"

"Yeah, though no one believes what I saw."

"Wait, can you share that with me. Maybe outside?"

"Yeah sure."

The two of us walked out of the precinct, exchanging names & other random details. Chris Redfield was his name, he was in the recovery team at the mansion. They really pulled a Jurrasic Park on that mansion. They just kept sending people knowing they would all probably die. I held the door for Chris before letting it close behind us.

"Okay, what did you see at the mansion?" Chris asked.

"This guy, I swear he should've been dead, his uniform was torn to pieces."

"Oh, so another one of those zombie things?"

"No, that's the thing. This guy was completely alive, no bites or scratches. He had a lot of blood on him though. He was really just a human, nothing like the other zombies," I rambled, excited that someone was actually listening to me for once.

"That is so odd, I don't remember anything like that. Where did you find him?"

"He seemed to find me in the office room, I don't know where he came from though. He appeared out of thin air."

"For my sanity... what did he look like?"

"Tall, caucasian, blonde, police uniform."

"No fucking way, okay, can I say something crazy?"

"I just told you a lot of crazy, hit me," I chuckled.

"I think that was my former commander, did he have a hole in his chest... at least in his uniform?" Chris stammered.

"Uh... Yeah, actually."

"Wesker... how is he alive?"

"I don't know, but he's been following me around. He showed up at my house."

"Dear god, I could come over to keep you company & protect you, he is an insane fighter."

"Why not, you can help me with job hunting."

After a long-winded conversation, we finally hopped into my car & drove off toward my house. We chatted a bit about our lives & hobbies. He seemed like a genuinely interesting guy, possibly a great friend. Within no time we arrived at my house & went inside. I offered to cook us some dinner & left Chris to take my dog Bear on a walk. Within moments of the door closing, I felt as if I was being watched. Wesker appeared beside me, leaning over the counter with his head resting on intertwined hands.

"Why?" he growled.

"Why what?"

"First," he fixes his posture, towering over me, "you went to Raccoon City against my orders. Second, you brought Chris Redfield to stay with you in your home!"

"You don't get to choose what I do-"

Before I could even react, Wesker tightly grasped my throat & pinned me to the wall behind me. My back stung, anger filled his eyes. He grits his teeth while applying more pressure to my neck.

"When I tell you to do something, you will do it!" Wesker huffed.

I felt my consciousness slipping, "Wesker-"

He released my neck forcing me to fall to my knees. I coughed & gripped my neck. It felt like it was caving in on itself.

"How do you know my name? Chris-" Wesker looked to the side, he was livid.

"He's here to protect me."

"From what? Me? Redfield doesn't stand a chance against me, I am a god! I will give you one last chance to be an obedient (pet name). Do not go to Raccoon City. Got it?"

"Yes," I spoke with a hoarse voice.

"Yes, who? Since you know my name now."

"Eat shit," I spat at his shoes.

"Oh you little-"

The front door of my house opened. I looked up to see Wesker gone & Chris entering my home. He was sweaty with a soft smile on his face.

"Bear is a runner, my god, I could barely keep up! Can I help with- What the fuck," Chris noticed me & sprinted in my direction, "Are you okay?"

"Wesker," I shook.

"He's here? Where? Fuck, I shouldn't have left you alone."

"Gone."

"Hmm, well let me get you to your room so you can relax. I'll make dinner, get you some water, I can stay the night to make sure you're safe. You can lock your bedroom door if you don't fully trust me. I just can't bare to let Wesker harm another human, especially someone as kind as you. You've been through enough."

"Okay, you can stay. Just make sure Bear gets his nighttime food please."

Chris led me to my bedroom & helped me get into bed. My back ached & it was hard to stand. Laying down made it slightly better. I closed my eyes feeling them strain. Hopefully, I can get some sleep.
