Chapter Eighteen-Our Future Together

North bursts into the room and looks at me happily. I give him a smile.

He comes up to hug me and I hug back. He then turns to look at Jack and puts his arm around him, bringing him into the hug.

After we pull back, Tooth, Sandy, and Bunny open the door. They all hug me again and then let go.

"So what are you two now?" North asks a moment later after we are all seated in chairs. Everyone goes silent for a minute, but they all smirk like they know who North is talking about.

"What?" I say, a bit taken back by the sudden question.

"You and Jack. What are you now?" He asks again.

I think for a moment. Well, we just kissed and basically confessed our love to each other, but neither of us have mentioned anything about dating. Does it count since we dated in our past lives?

I look over at Jack and see that he's already staring. I raise an eyebrow at him and he nods in an uncertain way.

I turn back to North. "I don't really know."

North laughs at that. "What do you mean 'I don't really know'? I heard that love confession from miles away—no, as a matter of fact, everyone in the workshop did and we are all waiting for answers."

Jack and I look at each other with shocked faces. I feel myself starting to blush from embarrassment at the thought of everyone hearing what Jack and I had to say about each other.

"So are you going to tell us or..." Bunny trails away, waiting for my answer.

I sigh. "Can I talk to Jack for a second—alone?"

Everyone hurries out of the room and that leaves me and Jack alone.

"So what do we tell them?" I ask Jack.

"Well, the answer depends. Do you want to be in a relationship with me?" He asks.

I burst out laughing and he gives me a confused look. "Sorry, it's just funny how you say it like it's no big deal."

"Oh, well it is a big deal to me, is it for you?" He asks.

"Of course it is! I don't want to be in a relationship just because we kissed, I want to be in a relationship with you because I love you and because you feel the same way about me," I smile and he smiles back.

"So is that a yes?" He asks with a smirk.

I roll my eyes. "What do you think?" I say sarcastically and he laughs.

—Two years later—

"Jackson Overland Frost!" I yell.

He stops, looks at me, and smirks. He puts more frost on the place where I already melted. I fly towards him.

"How many times do I have to tell you to stop doing that!" I cross my arms and turn around looking at all of the things that I have to melt again.

Then I feel some arms wrap around my waist from behind and a head is placed on my shoulder.

"Don't be so upset my Sunshine, I will help you," he says.

"Yeah, I think you have helped enough," I grab his hand from my waist and turn to face him. "Come on, let's go to the workshop. I will finish this some other time."

"Stop making me feel bad! I'm sorry!" He says, a bit more worriedly. I bite my bottom lip to hold in a laugh.

He kisses me on the cheek. "I'm sorry, I won't do it again!"

I finally can't hold it in and laugh, "it's fine. I'm just bothering you."

He frowns and I kiss his cheek. "Come on! They are waiting for us."

I start pulling him by the arm. "Fine, let's go."

We both smile at each other.
