"Where are we going? I asked. "The beach." he said. "Weren't we just on the beach?" I asked. "Not that beach silly." He said.
One of his hands rested lightly on the steering wheel, the other was holding my small hand.
I fell asleep in the hoodie and sweatpants I had changed into and didn't wake up till we where getting on a plane. I leaned on Nash as we waited to board the plane and he kissed the top of my head as he stroked my hair.
I slept on the plane too and Nash carried me off. "Where are we?" I asked groggily. "The northern tip of Africa. I'd tell you exactly where but I can't pronounce it." He said. We got our bags and he lead me to a boat attached to a dock near the tiny airport.
The name of the boat was 'Just Married II' and I smiled as Nash helped me onto it.
The warm ocean water sprayed up on my face and misted me with a calming breeze. Nash drove the boat and I noticed he had changed into jeans and a t-shirt.
When we got to the small island I looked up and gasped. "You don't like it?" Nash asked looking disappointed. "It's perfect." I whispered. He laughed as he helped me out of the boat.
The house was huge and super modern. How he afforded it I didn't really want to know. "You rented this?" I asked. "Bought." He said and my eyes widened.
We started to unpack and I almost screamed when I opened my bag. "This is what I get for letting Mahogany pack my bags." I said and Nash gave me a quizzical look. I held up a black lace thong and matching bra and he laughed.
"It's not funny!" I said but laughed too. After we unpacked and got everything put away we went for a quick dip in our birthday suits before Nash carried me inside. Then we spent some 'quality time' together. Yeah that's what we'll call it, quality time.
We were laying in bed with the sheets wrapped around us, looking at the stars through the glass ceiling. Nash kissed my cheek before he slowly drifted off to sleep and I couldn't help but do the same.
I woke up to the smell of bacon and pancakes and sat up. I got out of bed and pulled on my bra panties and some shorts before walking out onto the patio/dinning room.
Nash stood by a small stove flipping pancakes as he crunched on a price of bacon. I pulled a chair out from the table and sat down. Hearing the chair scrape the wooden floor Nash turned to look at me.
He flashed me a blindingly white smile and pointed to a plate with bacon and sausage on it. On another plate was a huge stack of pancakes. I grabbed a few orange slices and two pancakes.
I hadn't exactly put all the weight back on after mom died and Nash made sure I never missed a meal. Of course for a girl as small and active as me, it wasn't easy. Nash sat down across from me, still beaming at me.
It reminded me of the look on his face when we got married. "You know how Cam and Sally are only a few years apart?" He asked as he picked up a pancake and took a bite out of it.
"Yeah what about it?" I asked. "He asked her if she wanted to go to dinner some time." He said. I choked on my pancake and looked up at him with wide eyes. "What did she say?!" I asked when I got the piece of pancake out of my throat.
"Yes, of course. No one can resist Cam." he said. "Except me." I said. "Well I sure hope so." he said and laughed.
We went down to the beach after breakfast and played in the ocean. Nash splashed me and I jumped on his back.
"I love you Zoe." Nash said as he laid next to me in the sand. I intertwined our fingers and he pressed his lips to the back of my hand. I smiled and closed my eyes. Along with all the other great things that had happened lately, I would come out of all of this with a nice tan.
He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and kissed my cheek before standing up to go make lunch. I smiled, the image of his bright blue eyes and blindingly white smile filling my mind, as I laid there on the beach.
